Personally, I think the movie plot that I remember the most is the end of "Captain Phillips", which probably has a lot to do with my experience as a crew member, and I can personally imagine the struggle, powerlessness and survival at that time.

1. Film honor

The movie "Captain Philip" is an adventure drama film directed by Paul Greengrass, starring Tom Hanks, Bahad Abdi, Fasel Ahmed, and Catherine Keener. The film was released in Chinese mainland in November 2013 and won the Golden Trailer Award for Best Thriller and the 6th nomination at the 86th Academy Awards (2014).

Second, the synopsis

The film is based on real events that took place in 2009. It was the first time in nearly 200 years that a U.S. ship had been hijacked by pirates.

In 2009, the American freighter Maersk Alabama was led by Captain Richard Phillips (Tom Hanks) on a cargo transport mission in the Horn of Africa region. The mission routed through the waters of the Somali region, where piracy was rampant. Although Captain Phillips and his crew had trained and exercised against pirates, they were unaware that soon after their departure, four Somali pirates armed with AK47 submachine guns boarded the ship and attacked them. Captain Philip was unfortunately taken hostage by pirates and taken away from the cargo ship during the struggle to protect the crew and cargo. The U.S. Navy and other departments immediately launched a large-scale rescue operation against Captain Philip after receiving the intelligence. Four days later the U.S. Navy fleet killed three of the robbers, captured one alive, and the captain was rescued.

3. Shooting tidbits

The passages of the film's lifeboat were filmed in the real sea. Many staff members vomited from seasickness, and because the space inside the boat was too small, they often vomited on Hanks.

The female soldier who examines Phillips at the end of the film is played by a real US Navy medic, Danielle Albert. And this scene is also not in the script, and is played by the two on the basis of the normal inspection process

Fourth, touching scenes

At first, I imagined that this should be a movie that celebrates individual heroism, but eventually I realized that I was wrong. The captain did not defeat the pirates. Then numbly saw the pirate without body temperature in the lifeboat, and finally cried, until finally Philip was rescued by the US Navy and sent for physical examination, watching him cry blankly, and my tears also flowed out with me.

The captain who survived the disaster underwent a physical examination by a beautiful female military doctor, but the first sentence asked was indeed "Does my wife know", and after returning with the affirmation, the frightened captain muttered to himself, incoherent, and kept repeating "thank you" and "thank you"...

The muttering contains his own thrilling sense of survival, the ardent expectations of the crew, the sense of mission to live up to his wife, and the deep compassion for the pirates, which is indeed a rare tear-jerking blockbuster.
