Barlow, from Mali, who is 7-0 (2.13m), entered the transfer market last week and immediately became the No. 1 player in the ESPN transfer market, a two-time first-team selection in the Pac-12 league and a first-team selection to the All-Defensive Team this season.

Barlow is averaging 12.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game this season, shooting 20 double-doubles on nearly 66 percent shooting, and he had 15 points and 15 rebounds against Clemson at the University of Arizona's NCAA Tournament.

In the 2022-23 season, Barlow averaged 14.2 points and 8.6 rebounds per game while shooting nearly 65% from the field, winning the Pac-12 league's Most Improved Player.

Barlow, an overseas player in the class of 2019, began his college career at Gonzaga, first as a redshirt adapting to the U.S. environment, before joining the University of Arizona in 2021 with coach Tommy Lloyd.

Barlow's commitment is a big takeaway for Indiana University coach Mike Woodson, who will head into the 2024-25 season under pressure after Indiana missed the 2024 NCAA tournament with just 19 wins and 14 losses overall.

Indiana University is now bringing back Malik Reneau, who started last season, power forward and Big Ten Rookie of the Year Mackenzie Mgbako, and the team is also getting a commitment from Washington State guard Myles Rice in the transfer market.
