1. Solicitation of reports of the seminar on the new generation of pig veterinarians

Founded in 2016 as a special workshop for young veterinarians, the "Next Generation of Swine Veterinarians" seminar at the Leman Swine Conference aims to provide an opportunity for young veterinarians working in the field of pig production and clinical services to learn and network, and to share the results and clinical cases of production research carried out in pig farms to solve practical problems in production. This pre-conference training also fulfills the mission of the Leman Swine Conference to provide science-based solutions to the swine industry and train a new generation of swine veterinary practitioners. (2) Guidelines for the submission of reports

1. Reporter

At present, he is a veterinarian engaged in pig theory and production research in pig breeding enterprises, pig veterinary service institutions, and scientific research institutions.

2. Report content

Practical research, technologies, methods and means in pig production that are beneficial to improve production capacity and efficiency, including but not limited to: disease detection and identification, disease prevention and control and eradication programs, production management practices and solutions, vaccine use and economic benefits, reduction of antibiotic use, biosecurity measures and applications, animal welfare and other solutions to improve production efficiency.

3. Selection criteria

The judging panel will select 10 presentation topics from the submitted applications. The selection criteria include: clear production trials and clinical research objectives; Complete and logical scientific experiment design and sample collection methods, scientific statistical analysis and data analysis and interpretation. No commercial content is allowed in the report.

4. Report Format

The selected candidates will give a presentation at the pre-conference meeting of the 13th Leman China Pig Conference "New Generation of Pig Veterinarians". Each report lasts 15 minutes and the report language is Chinese.

5. How to Apply

If you are interested in participating, please submit a summary of the report and presentation PPT by August 31, 2024. Submit a CV in both English and Chinese. The abstract and courseware should include the following information: the title of the report, the background introduction, the purpose of the study, the materials and methods, the results and analysis, and the conclusion or application.

The summary of the report is limited to one page of A4 and should be written in both English and Chinese. If the speaker wishes to participate in the selection of the "Professor Mok Science Practice Award", he or she needs to submit a PPT courseware in Chinese and English. The winner of Professor Mok's scientific practice will be sponsored by the Leman Swine Conference to participate in the Leman Swine Conference to be held in the United States the following year. 2. The 13th Leman China Pig Conference poster collection

The Leman Pig Conference is presented annually to provide a platform for participants to showcase scientific and technological innovation, R&D achievements, and new thinking. In order to encourage students to actively participate in the conference, the conference specially set up the Best Student Poster Award of the Leman Pig Conference, and the graduate poster has the opportunity to win the best poster award (including prize money and certificate). The deadline for submission of Chinese abstracts is September 1.

(2) Guidelines for the preparation and submission of poster abstracts

1. Poster author

All registered attendees are eligible to submit poster presentations, and all selected non-student poster presenters are required to register for the conference.

Young scholars and graduate students are especially encouraged to participate in the poster presentation (students who submit a poster and are accepted by the conference will register for the Leman Pig Conference free of charge).

2. Content and display time

(1) The content of the poster should be consistent with the theme of the Leman Pig Conference;

(2) Posters are displayed throughout the conference.

3. Poster display format

(1) The recommended size of each poster is 1.2 meters high X 0.9 meters wide;

(2) The proposed poster format includes introduction, materials and methods, main findings, conclusions, practical applications, etc.;

(3) Please submit the poster to the organizing committee in pictures or PDF format, and the conference will print it uniformly.

4. Poster submission

Please refer to the following guidelines when submitting a poster:

(1) Within 500 words (including 500 words, citations are not included in the 500-word limit and should be listed at the end of the abstract);

(2) The abstract must contain the following information: title, author, institution, introduction, methodology, results and conclusions, and we only accept the latest development directions and scientific research content;

(3) All submitted abstracts will be reviewed and judged based on their scientific merit. The deadline for abstract submissions is September 1.

5. Poster abstract submission

Poster submitters are requested to submit a poster abstract of no more than one page, and the selected abstract will be included in the conference journal, please submit the poster abstract format according to the following requirements:

(1) The abstract must contain the following information: title, author, institution, introduction, methodology, results and conclusion;

(2) Single-page, 2.5cm blank edge, two-column Word document;

(3) New Roman font or Song style, No. 11 character;

(4) double line spacing, blank lines between paragraphs;

(5) The poster abstract can be written in English or Chinese, but the Chinese poster abstract must be accompanied by an English title. To participate in the poster display, you need to register for the conference according to the formal procedures (except for students) ;(see the attachment for the poster sample)

(6) We only accept the latest basic and clinical research progress and manufacturing management methods. All submitted abstracts will be reviewed and evaluated based on their scientific merit.

(7) The deadline for abstract submission is September 1.
