A spooky red brick building, according to legend, at night, there will be inexplicable footsteps, screams of unknown origin, and the closed door will automatically open at any time.

This is a building in a Latvian city called Liepaja, the intimidating Kalosta Prison.

Created in 1900, the prison was originally a hospital of the Latvian Navy, but instead of treating patients and saving lives, it was used as a day or two for undisciplined soldiers, as short as a day or two, or as long as a month or two. At present, this prison has been opened to the public for visits, and it is also the only military district prison in Europe that is open to the public for visits.

There are 37 small cells in the prison, each of which can hold four people, but in the original period when there were many prisoners, each cell was as many as fifty people. At night, you can only sleep with your back to your back. During the day, there was a pitiful shortage of food, and there were small black houses for disobedient prisoners. This is simply inhuman torture.

In order to let those who seek excitement experience the horrors of prison life, this prison was later transformed into a very special hotel.

Here, travelers enjoy the treatment of prisoners, sleeping on the cold floor, eating rough food that is difficult to swallow, and having to comply with prison rules, and being punished for fouls, such as cleaning and being abused by the staff. Of course, before moving in, you need to sign an agreement to voluntarily accept all the rules here.

It sounds very scary, but the people who come to admire it are endless. Some travelers said that this is "the coolest hotel in All of Europe"

Some travelers checked out the next day and left, saying that it was too scary to come.

It's a strange world, but turning a prison into a hotel is really an innovation. I heard that many local families will also send their children to live here in order to let their children experience the feeling of being a "prisoner" and temper their will. This kind of experience life, although a little unusual, but it can make the "flowers in the greenhouse" feel what is a storm.
