Xia Yan, a native of Jinshan Lu Lane, has her own family ranch, which her father manages alone. With the passage of time, my father's waist was no longer straight, and wrinkles had climbed on his face. The ranch has more than a thousand cows, and it needs to hire a lot of people to transport the cow manure produced. In 2006, by chance, Xia Yan learned that her cow dung could be made into organic fertilizer. Pastures, farms, fertilizer plants... This girl with an idea successfully made an industrial chain.

In 2011, Xia Yan took over the "red hydrangea" dragon fruit she had never eaten before from a Taiwanese customer, which was smaller and more rounded than the dragon fruit she had seen before, and the color was even red to purple. Peeling off the skin, the flesh of the fruit is red and sandy, and it is covered with small black dots, like grains of black sesame seeds dotted on it, and the unique shape and taste make her decide to bring the "red hydrangea ball" to her own land.
With love to bear the fruit of "happiness"
In more than ten years, Xia Yan has continuously improved her technology, consulted experts from the Academy of Agricultural Sciences, consulted materials, and successfully simulated the tropical climate suitable for the growth of dragon fruit by changing the soil and testing formulas, so that dragon fruit successfully "blossomed and bears fruit" in the land she loved.
Not only the planting technology, from the original "red hydrangea ball" to today's sweet taste, thick flesh "Jindu No. 1", the varieties are constantly changing. Xia Yan has successively introduced a variety of fruits such as pineapple and bale. "Everyone said it was delicious after eating, and I was satisfied!" Xia Yan, who had just returned from the greenhouse, said this, and her sunburned red face shone brightly, and her eyes bloomed with a different light.
In 2020, the dragon fruit planted by Xia Yan won the Silver Award of Shanghai Quality Dragon Fruit Tasting Activity. Tropical fruits in Jinshan planting need to pay more effort than ordinary fruits, in order to ensure quality, all use artificial weeding, use organic fertilizer to improve the soil, because the temperature is too high during the day, afraid of nutrient loss and choose to prune branches at night, so as to ensure natural pollution-free, organic green, excellent quality. All this hard work in the eyes of others, Xia Yan relished it.
In addition to the wildly popular fruit, in the cooperative's greenhouse, large areas of edible roses bloom beautifully. This edible rose stem is thornless, more convenient for flower farmers to pick, and can be produced all year round. Xia Yan introduced that at present, most of the edible roses on the market are mainly Damascus and Yunnan red, and the thornless rose petals are rich in water content, which can be directly eaten, tea, and can also be made into dried flowers and rose pure dew.
