Recommendation:

Château Admiralty is one of the four Grand Saint-Emilion Class A wineries, along with Chateau Ausone, Chateau Cheval Blanc and Chateau Pavie, whose outstanding quality speaks for itself, and the history of winemaking began in 1782. For hundreds of years, the vineyards have been bathed in the golden bells of the three churches, from which the winery was named Angelus (French: bells). Admiralty is one of the 20 "wines of excellence" in Robert Parker's heart, the "Magical 20 of Bordeaux". With the blessing of a good vintage, the 2016 Golden Bell lived up to expectations and won near-full reviews from many wine critics.

The 2016 Château Admiralty Red wines are a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc in a deep colour, somewhere between pomegranate and fuchsia. Its aromas are rich, wafting with lavender, violet, shrub and iron notes, with warm notes of black cherry, raspberry, plum, fennel and cedar, medium to full, tannin silky, fruity, concentrated and deep, with a long aftertaste with mineral notes.
