Bengal Safari Park in Siliguri, India, the only open-air animal park, approved a proposal to keep exotic animal species in the park.

The park's chief said three kangaroos and four exotic monkeys were recently handed over to them and were rescued from illegally transported people by different agencies in northern Bangladesh.

On April 1, the three kangaroos were rescued and taken to the park. A few days ago, they were put into a fence for visitors to see.

The four exotic monkeys of 3 endangered species sent to the park on May 9 may be moved to a pen within a few days so visitors can watch the primates.

Authorities said the monkeys were in good health.

Bangladesh Wildlife Park authorities have announced 4 rare species monkeys rescued from Phulbari. Of the four monkeys, three are females and one is male.

Kangaroos have been released into pens for public viewing. Officials say the four monkeys will also soon be released for tourists to visit.

Park authorities are now planning to bring more exotic animals to the park. More infrastructure is currently being planned for animals such as hippos, giraffes and zebras that can be raised in the park.
