Just on Wednesday (11th), according to the latest data released by the Ministry of Rural Agriculture of Vietnam, in the first four months of this year, Vietnam's rice exports exceeded 2 million tons, and the export volume exceeded 1 billion US dollars.
In terms of export markets, in the first four months, the Philippines still ranked the largest rice sales market in Vietnam, with a market share of 42.6%. The largest increase was in Côte d'Ivoire, with a 76% increase in the same period.
So what about Cambodian rice exports?
According to the latest data from the Cambodian Rice Alliance, in the first four months of this year, Cambodian rice exports were 221,000 tons, an increase of 14.8% year-on-year, of which 115,000 tons were sold to China.
At the same time, the above report also shows that in the first four months of this year, Cambodian rice exports reached 139 million US dollars. In addition to rice, Cambodia exported nearly 1.649 million tons of rice in the first four months, with exports amounting to US$377 million. Cambodian rice is mainly exported to Vietnam.
One last question: How much rice did China export in the first four months of this year?
According to the latest data released by the General Administration of Customs of China, in April, China exported 312,000 tons of grain, with an export value of 158.3 million US dollars, as shown in the following figure:

Since then, in the first four months of this year, China's cumulative grain exports have been 916,000 tons, down 12.9% year-on-year; the cumulative total exports are 542.5 million US dollars, down 8.3% year-on-year.
