This author can be called "contemporary Tao Yuanming", writing from a childlike perspective the intersection of ideals and reality

Liu Liangcheng is a true pastoral writer of the 21st century. In the second season of "The Daily Life of Literature", which was previously broadcast, Liu Liangcheng dressed as an old farmer and took a handful of weeds on the ground, saying: "In the mountains and wilderness, you must learn to eat, a lot of grass can be eaten." Generally, it is no problem to eat with pigs, but not sheep. In 2014, this spiritual guardian who returned to the countryside single-handedly created Xinjiang's first artist village, Rapeseed Valley, and worked hard to build Mulei Academy, practicing and cultivating and reading the lifestyle, which can be called "contemporary Tao Yuanming". Yilin Publishing House published Liu Liangcheng's series of works, and when the editors-in-charge described "Liu Liangcheng's works", they used four key words: leisure, childlike heart, perseverance, and sincerity.

"Liu Liangcheng's Works" (exclusive collector's edition), launched by Yilin Publishing House, collects all the important works written by Liu Liangcheng with more than 20 years of painstaking efforts, and completely presents Liu Liangcheng's creative panorama and spiritual world. Adhering to the animistic world view, he interprets his understanding and imagination of the world from a childlike perspective, and realizes the poetic dwelling between ideal and reality. Recently, Baidao Network interviewed "Liu Liangcheng Works" responsible editors Xiao Rong and Jiao Yakun, in the interview, they said that in the eyes of the entire editorial department, Liu Liangcheng is "Xinjiang Wong Kar Wai", those stories between light and shadow, dreams, with a mysterious and magical taste.

"Liu Liangcheng's Works" (exclusive collector's edition) includes the novels "Bemba", "Virtual Earth", "Chiseling The Void", "Carrying Words", the essay collection "A Man's Village", "In Xinjiang", and the interview essay collection "Talking about Things on earth to heaven". Not only is the content rich and diverse, but also full of gold content, all of which are exclusive copyrights of Yilin Society. We can't help but ask, what kind of opportunities are behind this powerful alliance?

The story also begins with 2018's "Talking". In July and August of that year, the Translation Forest Agency received the manuscript of Liu Liangcheng's "Carrying Words", and from the leaders of the company to the editorial department, they were shocked by the literary value of this work. The Tale of Words is a book of animism and a book of understanding of different voices, "with a thousand words, carrying a sentence that cannot be said." Soon, this work was selected for the project and successfully published, and then received unanimous praise from the literary community and readers, winning the top ten good books of Sina and the top ten good books of southern weekends that year, and entered the top ten of the Mao Dun Literature Award the following year.

In 2019, The Translation Forest Society also published Liu Liangcheng's interview essay collection "Talking about Things on earth to heaven", which is the first conversation record of his writing career so far, selecting his speeches and dialogues over the years, fully showing Liu Liangcheng's unique creative concept and rich inner world. The book was first unveiled at the 2019 Shanghai Book Fair, and Liu Liangcheng gave a keynote speech on the theme of "Homeland".

The two editors-in-charge said that with the experience of the previous two cooperations, the Translation Forest Agency and Liu Liangcheng have established a relatively close relationship. In 2020, in order to carefully create an original literary brand with yilin characteristics and uphold the publishing concept of "serious, classic and quality", Yilin Society took overall consideration and reached an agreement with Liu Liangcheng to obtain exclusive copyrights for a variety of his important works, including the new long story "Bemba" and the representative work "One Man's Village".

Liu Liangcheng's trust in the Translation Forest Society is not only to grant copyright, but also to personally sort out the ideas of the portfolio and edit the original text, in the newly written "Afterword", Liu Liangcheng fully explained the direction and content of each revision.

According to the two editors-in-charge, except for the new long story "Bemba", the remaining six parts are revised and reprinted. In the process of revision, Liu Liangcheng read through all his works, and also allowed him to re-understand his earlier self and the words of the earlier years after many years. Among them, "One Man's Village" is the first revision in more than twenty years since its publication, revising 62 places in the original manuscript, deleting individual writing words in the original manuscript, and adjusting the order of chapters. "Virtual Soil" deleted 10,000 words, and the structure was also fine-tuned. Liu Liangcheng said that this is the most difficult and intriguing book he has written, and it is almost impossible to complete. "Chiseled Void" has been changed significantly, enhancing the fluidity of the story. Liu Liangcheng originally wanted to write a "motionless" story: the years when two cave diggers had no shadow in the ground, and a village man who was busy in vain and waited forever. Later, he compromised, deleting the words in the novel that spoke of "stopping", and the story flowed slowly and long.

The final collection of works is categorized according to novels, essays, and interview essays. On the other hand, because Liu Liangcheng has always written with the theme of "time", the revisions he has made have also revolved around this theme. He once said that I wanted my writing to be a face of time. "One Man's Village" is, and so is the new work "Bemba", leaving it for readers to slowly understand.

This writer is like the "zoo director",

The Book of Love is...

Writer Li Juan once commented that Liu Liangcheng stood in the center of the village, did not squint, and slowly wrote all the warm and down-to-earth things: the village where people and animals coexist, the details of soft and joyful life, the ancient and solemn order, and the fair and beautiful fate. The idyllic texture of Liu Liangcheng's pen is most obvious in his depictions of mountains and rivers, grasses, trees, insects and fish, especially his animals.

The editors said: "Teacher Liu seems to be a cute and loving zoo director, and animals and him can communicate with each other and learn from each other. "A Man's Village" writes about many animal friends: life is so simple that only happy bugs are left, cows that like to butt against the sun when they graze; when bugs crawl on "me", "I" is so excited that my blood boils, thinking about how to shake hands with them one by one. The editors also said that Teacher Liu is the officially certified "spokesperson" for xinjiang wild camels.

"Bemba" is Liu Liangcheng's latest novel. In this book, the animals can talk, a couple of flower-faced snakes threaten the protagonist to eat him, the protagonist says you don't eat me, I teach you to play moving. The flower-faced snake couple was attracted by the game played by this person and played the game of moving house with the protagonist. Playing and playing, they retreated to their childhood, changing from flower snakes to flower snakes.

The two editors revealed that "Bemba" is their favorite in the collection. The book is like a "theater" or a play of poetry. As soon as I open the book, there is an inscription page printed with four verses of the epic poem "Jianger", which explains the world setting of Bemba: the story takes place in a kingdom of youth that has not aged, has not died, and everyone lives at the age of twenty-five a long time ago. After the dedication page is the character table, showing the image, skill, and identity of each character. This is followed by a four-act play featuring the three games of "Moving House", "Hide and Seek", "Dreaming" and the journey of "Bemba" spanning the 21st century. Finally, it ends with two epic poems of "Jianger", as if the melodious singing at the end of the play, so that the story returns to the beginning of the novel and becomes its own.

The structure of Bemba is very subtle, and its language is full of poetic charm. The two editors explained that in Liu Liangcheng's language, there is often a way to express time with space. For example, in the beginning of the wrestler Sabour, it is written that "he suddenly remembered a past event when he was twenty-three years old, turned around and ran back to his childhood, and threw down one of the friends who had won him as a child and threw it out seven years away." "Here, time seems to become a road that can come, walk, and stop at any time. Abstract concepts are now concrete, opening up and expanding the space of the text. "Bemba" is not heavy, only more than 300 pages, but it will make the reader feel like reading a very long, vast story.

In a series of characters in The Kingdom of Benpa, the one who left the deepest impression on the editors was Honggur. This character made them very sad at one point. In Bemba, almost everyone is twenty-five years old, but Hongur is not. He never grew up, not to the height of a wheel. Because when he was a child, he asked his father to take it to impersonate the child of King Bemba and was plundered by the enemy, and the enemy decided to kill him as long as he grew to the height of the wheel, so Hongur stopped at that time. And when the king's son grew up to become the new king, Bemba was once again killed, and he took the child's body to battle, inadvertently drank a bowl of milk tea that had been boiled for many years, and in an instant he was so old that he did not have a single tooth left. In the twenty-five-year-old kingdom of youth, only he did not enjoy this most prosperous age, he lived in childhood for the whole of Bemba, and another person aged for them. His heart was full of loneliness that only he understood.

The sense of truth has touched thousands of students,

When it comes to using a few keywords to describe "Liu Liangcheng's works", the editors in charge choose leisure, childlike heart, perseverance and sincerity.

Idle heart corresponds to "One Man's Village", which tells the story of idler Liu Er wandering around the village. Childlike heart corresponds to "The Void Land", which is a book about childhood, written about a five-year-old child who no longer grows up. Perseverance corresponds to "Chiseling The Void", in which the protagonist has been digging holes, digging holes, and digging holes, unable to stop. The true counterpart is "Bemba", the people of the Bemba steppe have turned their heavy lives into a light and fun game because of their naïve faith, and even if they know that they are only fictional characters, they want to rescue the people who are in distress in reality.

"Liu Liangcheng's works condense his most sincere heart, using a series of words related to the heart to describe, but also because of his sincerity and honesty."

Liu Liangcheng writes calmly and broadly with sincerity, and his works have also become classic materials that middle school students must read to improve their language literacy, and a total of more than 50 essays have been selected for middle school chinese textbooks and middle and high school language reading tests across the country. What are the connotations of an adult literary writer's work that are closely related to today's young readers?

The two editors explained that when making this set of books, they consulted a lot of relevant materials of Liu Liangcheng and his works, and many netizens would share the touch after reading on Douban and Zhihu. In particular, the essay "One Man's Village" can be said to be the common memory of tens of millions of students. Many netizens said that "The Cold Wind Blows Through" ("One Man's Village") is the most impressive article of their student era, the only article they remember many years after graduation, and even some students said that when they were bored in class, they memorized Liu Liangcheng's article in full. This kind of heartfelt liking may be due to the true feeling of reality in the work and the exposition of the philosophy of life contained in the text.

Liu Liangcheng's works are not only popular with young readers, but also have always been favored by middle school Chinese teachers. Liu Liangcheng started from a village, starting from a tree, a flower, and a donkey, but it seemed to connect with all things in heaven and earth, and wrote about the world's hundred elephants that have been long and warm. This aesthetic way of life, as well as its super high literary appeal, has a very high boosting significance for students' language training, aesthetic education, and humanistic education.

Liu Liangcheng also pays attention to nature and loves all things, zhu Yingchun, the winner of the "World's Most Beautiful Book", the author of the "Bug Book" who presents a unique binding design for this collection of works, and he perfectly presents Liu Liangcheng's chaotic and self-sufficient literary world with liu Liangcheng's aesthetic taste that is highly compatible with Liu Liangcheng.

In April 2021, Liu Liangcheng visited Zhu Yingchun's bookstore studio in Nanjing, the two saw each other as they were, and after returning to Xinjiang, Liu Liangcheng wrote an essay for the trip, named "Worm Wen, Worm Singing, Worm Heart". As the author of "Bug Poems" and "Bugs", Zhu Yingchun prefers a worm and a grass, and has similar interests with Liu Liangcheng, and in this design, Zhu Yingchun also expects to complete it in a way as natural and simple as possible. Therefore, Zhu Yingchun let the little bug crawl out of the two words "Bemba" on the cover of "Bemba", so that this small life created the trajectory of the Bemba world in the human world. Perhaps this magical little creature is the connector of the Bemba world and people's real lives.

Zhu Yingchun once said that Liu Liangcheng was a soft-spoken, slow-talking person with no nonsense. Therefore, the design of the book is quiet, so that readers can quietly hear what Liu Liangcheng said. And the title of the book and the name of the author are the best elements. In the end, the whole set of "Liu Liangcheng's works" presents a quiet and simple atmosphere, so that readers can listen carefully to the sounds in the book: the sound of the wind, the sound of trees, the sound of snow falling, and the sound of life.

Next, Yilin Will carry out a series of online activities with the theme of "Finding the Warmth of Life in a Person's Village", inviting more than ten heavy guests such as Zhou Guoping, Zhu Yingchun, He Ping, Shen Zhijun, and Di An to participate in the online activities to convey Liu Liangcheng and his works to more readers. In addition, the Translation Forest Agency will also launch Lu Min's latest long story "Golden River", as well as a collection of famous masterpieces such as Li Rui's works and Ge Fei's works, and strive to provide readers with an original literary feast.
