Reason for recall: Due to the improper internal control procedures of the multi-function display system, when the gear shift operation or the vehicle is driven, the picture of the multi-function display may not be able to switch normally, at this time, the display will maintain the video screen played before, which may distract the driver's attention and there is a safety hazard.
Solution: A program to upgrade the multi-function display for vehicles covered by the recall free of charge through vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) technology. Models that cannot be upgraded remotely can be upgraded for free at the dealer to eliminate safety hazards.
Any problem that can be solved through OTA upgrades, I don't think it is a big problem. After all, with the degree of intelligence of cars getting higher and higher. The chances of problems are also greatly increased. The recalled NX 260, NX 350h, NX 400h+ also did not cause direct harm to the user's driving safety because of the screen problem, so this is not a serious recall.
[2] Recall 2,589 vehicles imported from March 31, 2021 to January 28, 2022 for the import of Lexus NX 260, NX 350h, and NX 400h+ vehicles.
Reason for recall: Some vehicles within the scope of this recall due to improper welding equipment procedures, resulting in the body to fix the left / right front shock absorber of the front fender fender assembly may have leakage of welding inside, in this state of continuous use of the vehicle, the welding joint around the crack may occur, in extreme cases will have an impact on the stability of the vehicle driving, there is a safety hazard.
Solution: Free check whether there is leakage welding or steel plate crack inside the left/right front fender fender assembly, and if there is a leaky weld, it is welded; if there is a crack, replace the front fender assembly.
The problem with this recall is more serious because it involves the hardware level, not the software level. And there will be more serious leakage of welding or cracks in the steel plate. Therefore, it is inevitable to disassemble in the 4S store. And if it cannot be repaired in time, it will also have a bad impact on the driving stability of the vehicle. It is a safety hazard that seriously threatens driving safety. So this recall is more serious.
