Tesla reported to the Market Supervision Bureau on April 29 that a batch of cars was about to be recalled. The recalled vehicles are a high-performance version of the Tesla Model 3 produced and sold from January 2019 to March 2022, including both domestic and imported versions, totaling about 15,000 units.
What exactly is the reason for the recall? Mainly because the new car does not display unit speed in track mode, such a lack of function will affect the driver's judgment of its own speed, so it needs to be recalled and upgraded.
Strictly speaking, this is not a recall, only an upgrade, why? Because Tesla's new cars all have an OTA remote level system, just need to click on the customer to confirm, the computer version will be automatically upgraded to a higher version, this problem will be solved. Of course, some consumers' remote OTA upgrade system has been shut down, so it is necessary to recall the actual car and give the upgrade.
In fact, this is the second time Tesla has recalled this month. Compared to this time, the problem of missing speed units is more serious than this time. On April 7, Tesla recalled about 130,000 Tesla Model 3 vehicles, the main reason for the recall is that the inverter semiconductor components on the rear motor of the new car are inconsistent in the manufacturing process, and it may also be two different suppliers, which may cause the new car to lose power in the driving state in extreme cases, which is a more serious recall.
To be honest, the current new energy vehicles are indeed developing better and better, but there is still a problem that has not surfaced, that is, the dependence of new energy vehicles on electronic components is very high, and high-precision electronic components directly determine whether the car is smart and whether it is speeding up quickly, which also brings potential risks.
The gap in the subtle production process may cause a series of failures in the new car, which is rare in the era of fuel vehicles. Because most of the traditional fuel vehicles still rely on mechanical parts. Therefore, in some high temperature and cold areas, in addition to the endurance problem of new energy vehicles being valued, the performance attenuation of electronic components has not been really valued.
And in the future, if the new car is out of warranty, high-precision, modular new energy vehicles are actually difficult to be repaired, of course, I am referring to the outside auto repair plant, which will also greatly increase the cost of maintenance in the later stage.
Now the major auto repair plants are still based on fuel vehicle maintenance, the future with a large number of new energy vehicles on the market, sales, there will be a large number of new energy vehicles need to be repaired, so the technical upgrade of auto repair plants is also in front of the eyes. However, for now, the technology in this area is still missing, so the current new energy owners will rely heavily on car companies.
