Children's literature writer Chen Bochui's work "A Cat That Wants to Fly" was authorized to be published in eighteen varieties, ranking first in the list of top ten writers.
Ten writers, including Chen Bochui, collected copyright fees of more than 5 million yuan
According to Liang Fei, deputy director general of the Association, in 2021, the Association has developed 10,400 members and managed all the works of its members in an orderly manner. The list of top ten works in 2021 is: "A Cat That Wants to Fly" (author Chen Bochui), "Crooked Head" Wooden Stake (author Yan Wenjing), "Little Carp Jumping Dragon Gate" (author Jin Jin), "Lonely Little Crab" (author Bingbo), "Where Did Grandpa's Grandfather Come" (author Jia Lanpo), "Puppy's Little House" (author Sun Youjun), "Little Hero Rain" (author Guan Hua), "Scarecrow" (author Ye Shengtao), "Adventures of the Bacterial World" (author Gao Shiqi), "Look at Our Earth" (Author Li Siguang).
The above works include children's literature, popular science classics, red classics and allegorical literature, which are highly in line with the fundamental requirements of the core values of socialism and are therefore popular.
It is worth mentioning that the "top ten most popular writers": Chen Bochui, Jia Lanpo, Jin Jin, Yan Wenjing, Gao Shiqi, Li Siguang, Bing Bo, Sun Youjun, Guan Hua, and Ye Shengtao are also the ten authors with the highest copyright royalty income in 2021. In 2021, the total copyright royalties collected by the Literary Association for these ten writers exceeded 5 million yuan.
"The royalties for these writers are the highest among the members of the Literary Association, mainly because most of the writers or heirs are authorized to manage their copyrights exclusively." Liang Fei said that the Association is familiar with national policies, grasps market demand and development trends, and takes the initiative to promote member works to user units. Publishers, cultural companies and other user units can successfully obtain the authorization of these excellent works, ensure legal use, save a lot of manpower, material resources and time costs, and also standardize the market copyright order, which is the charm of collective management organizations.
Help domestic theater troupes introduce a number of overseas dramas
It is worth mentioning that in 2021, the copyright royalties collected by the Literary and Writing Association reached 24.55 million yuan, an increase of 9.4% year-on-year. Among them, collective management authorization businesses such as the right to disseminate information networks, the right to compile, and the right to perform accounted for 86%, and the reprinting of newspapers and periodicals and the collection and transfer of remuneration for textbooks accounted for 12%.
"The Literary and Literary Association has incorporated the right to compile and perform plays into the scope of collective management, innovated the method of authorization, solved the authorization of more than 500 kinds of compilation works every year, introduced a number of overseas dramas for domestic theaters and troupes, and exported a number of domestic dramas and plays translated and published overseas, which has effectively promoted the development of the publishing industry and the performing arts industry, and further enriched the spiritual and cultural life of the people." Zhang Hongbo, director general of the Association of Literature and Literature, told the Beijing Youth Daily reporter.

Zhang Hongbo also revealed that the two-act comedy "Senior Ward" to be staged by Beijing Fengshuo Culture Media Company in May this year is also a theatrical work imported from Russia by Wen Shuquan, which toured 30 times in 19 cities across the country from May to July. Represented by the Literary Association, the scripts of Zou Jingzhi, Liu Heng and others will also be translated and published by Russian translators.
It is also understood that due to the dual impact of the new crown epidemic and the double reduction policy, the demand of users for works has changed. To this end, under the premise of protecting the interests of right holders, the Association has adjusted the scope and conditions of authorization, such as increasing the authorization for the use of media and appropriately adjusting the number of first prints according to the actual situation to adapt to the development of the industry.
