The Ford Mondeo has always been a model that tends to be mature and commercial, but this iteration of the Mondeo has allowed me to see the designer's new design concept for the product. In fact, before this test drive, I had a brief experience with my colleagues about the new Mondeo, and at that time I also said to my colleagues that if I could experience it in depth, it would be good. Luckily, a few days later, I was invited by Ford to participate in the test drive of the new Mondeo, and the experience of various road conditions also allowed me to learn more about the car.
From the outside, the new Mondeo adopts a very young and sporty design language, and even for some people who have not paid much attention to Mondeo before, they may not link this car to the old Mondeo at all. It can also be seen from the overall design language that designers want to cater to the younger generation of users. In the middle net part, the new Mondeo adopts a 3D design, which has a huge improvement in visual perception compared to the old model. The headlights are very similar to the EVOS we test drove before, at first glance this set of headlights uses a split design, but a closer look will find that the central network part is connected to the two sides of the headlights. In terms of lighting configuration, Ford has also equipped the new Mondeo with LED headlights as standard.
Coming to the side, we can see that the new Mondeo has a more slippery shape, while the length of the whole car has a data of nearly 5 meters, and the wheelbase is infinitely close to the level of 3 meters, which makes it look slender and elegant. The body part is designed in two colors, and the black paint on the roof contrasts strongly with the body. The door handle part adopts a hidden design, which will automatically retract when the car is locked, which not only enhances the atmosphere of technology, but also effectively reduces the air resistance of the vehicle. In the wheel hub part, the ST-Line version of the test drive uses 19-inch wheels, which is just right for matching the body of nearly 5 meters, and the low-end model uses 17-18 inch wheels.
From the rear, the new Mondeo is still a very standard sedan look. Of course, the ST-Line version also has a small tail wing at the rear, which also provides a more sporty visual effect for the entire rear. The "Mondeo" letter logo at the rear of the car also adopts a blackened design, which is also a visual design commonly used in sports-style models. In addition, although the Mondeo is still a traditional fuel model, it uses a hidden exhaust design, but the design of the entire rear bar is still quite sporty, and it is quite coordinated with the taillights on the rear.
Inside the car, the new Ford Mondeo in terms of interior layout adopts a design that is basically the same as EVOS. Compared with some overseas versions of Ford models, this design is much ahead of its time. The 1.1-meter Dalian screen runs through almost the entire center console, and this 27-inch screen also has a 4K display effect. The display interface and sensitivity of the car machine system are also very good at present, and the huge screen solves the need for physical buttons in the car to a certain extent. In the interior details of the ST-Line version, through the red elements embellishment, the overall atmosphere will present a more sporty atmosphere than the ordinary version, and I believe that more young consumers will also choose this version. The seat part is woven using a mixture of traditional leather and turned fur, which increases friction and improves the appearance.
The space experience section can score high marks for the new Mondeo, thanks to a wheelbase of nearly three meters, both front and rear rows have a very generous legroom. And in order to offset the oppressive feeling caused by the black roof, Ford also equipped the new Mondeo with two sunroofs, which can also reflect for Ford's sincerity for the hardware level of the Mondeo this time.
In the power section, the new Mondeo is currently equipped with a 2.0T EcoBoost engine, which can output 238 hp maximum power and 376 Nm peak torque, matching the 8-speed automatic transmission. In the suspension section, the new Mondeo uses a front McPherson, rear multi-link structure. In a variety of road conditions, the whole car presents a comfort similar to a luxury SUV and the driving control of a traditional sedan. This feeling also makes me feel very new, and it can be said that the engineers have played a key role in the tuning of the vehicle. In the braking section, the new Mondeo uses a fly-by-wire braking system, which actually feels more sensitive than traditional brakes, and you don't need a large pedaling action to make the vehicle slow down quickly.

More critically, the new Mondeo's price range of 160,000-210,000 yuan is also very competitive – there are only a few models with such body sizes and configurations at this level.
