The automotive grade 8-bit MCU BS9000AMXX chip launched this time adopts S8051 core, the frequency is up to 24MHz, based on the standard 8051 instruction pipeline structure, including 31KB FLASH, 2KB SRAM, 1KB EEPROM, to meet the AEC-Q 100 GRADE 1 level.

According to BYD, the chip can be used in many application scenarios in automotive electronics, such as car interior lights, mood lights, door handles, air conditioning touch panels, various sensor applications, BLDC motor control, etc.

In terms of vehicle-grade MCUs, BYD launched the first generation of 8-bit vehicle-grade MCU chips in 2018 and the first generation of 32-bit vehicle-grade MCU chips in 2019. The 8-bit MCU BS9000AMXX series launched this time belongs to the new category of 8-bit vehicle-grade MCU chips.
