The anti-cancer science lecture adopted the method of online live broadcast, and invited a number of experts and professors from the Department of Endoscopy, Gastric Surgery, Colorectology, And Department of Pharmacy of the Cancer Prevention and Control Center of Sun Yat-sen University to bring cancer prevention and education to everyone, including "Screening and Prevention of Early Gastric Cancer", "Hereditary Stomach Cancer Is Not Terrible, Timely Screening and Prevention of It", "Postoperative Dietary Guidance for Gastric Cancer", "Screening and Prevention of Colorectal Cancer", "Preventable and Treatable Colorectal Cancer" and "Decoction and Use Of Traditional Chinese Medicine".

In the online lecture, Wang Yuhong, attending physician of the Department of Endoscopy of the Cancer Prevention and Control Center of Sun Yat-sen University, introduced that the mainland is a country with a high incidence of gastric cancer. The high incidence and mortality of stomach cancer are a type of malignant tumor that seriously endangers the health of the people on the mainland. The occurrence and development of gastric cancer is the result of multi-factor, multi-step, multi-stage interaction, caused by environmental factors, dietary factors, infectious factors, genetic factors and other factors. Among them, environmental factors and dietary factors are important influencing factors. Long-term use of pickles, moldy foods, smoked pickled foods, and excessive intake of table salt will increase the risk of stomach cancer.

Gastric cancer can be divided into early gastric cancer and advanced gastric cancer. Once early gastric cancer occurs, after active treatment, the 5-year survival rate is as high as 90%, and even cured, while advanced gastric cancer is still less than 30% even after surgery. But unfortunately, more than 90% of the stomach cancers found in the mainland are advanced gastric cancers, and the early diagnosis rate of early gastric cancer is less than 10%, so early screening of gastric cancer is very important.
