Hello, I am taking endocrine drugs (anastrozole), does drinking tea have an effect on the efficacy?

Dr. Yu Lei

Hello, tea contains tea polyphenols, caffeine, vitamins and trace elements and other ingredients. Relevant studies have shown that EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) in tea polyphenols has strong antioxidant activity and anxiolytic effect, and shows strong inhibitory activity on tumors.

According to the degree of catechin oxidation during fermentation, tea can be divided into fully fermented black tea, semi-fermented oolong tea and non-fermented green tea. Among them, EGCG is the most abundant catechin in green tea, accounting for more than 40% of the total catechin content. Non-fermented green tea has a high EGCG content.

Citing green tea is most effective in reducing the incidence of breast cancer. But the inhibitory effect of green tea on breast cancer varies between different tea drinkers. In premenopausal women, ER-positive postmenopausal women, and women with a highly active ACE genotype, the effect of drinking green tea on reducing the incidence of breast cancer is more obvious. White tea is a slightly fermented tea, but white tea has not been studied. In summary, green tea can be used as the first choice.

Daily life is recommended to drink some light tea, do not drink too strong and too hot tea. If there is a history of severe gastric ulcers, it is not advisable to drink more. This article is recommended to you:
