In the past eleven years, more than 700 documentaries have outlined a broad and rich, yet vivid and intimate video of contemporary China. Among them, the most precious thing is the unique understanding and discovery of foreign youth in China in the film, their cognition and understanding of the multiculturalism of contemporary China and the world, and the world values they find in Chinese culture. "Looking at China" not only brings cultural exchanges and emotional resonance across borders, but also provides new possibilities for the local creation and overseas export of documentary content.

"Mobilizing the power of young people and promoting documentary creation and dissemination across regions, the Institute of Chinese Culture and International Communication of Beijing Normal University is a well-deserved pioneer."
