On April 19, Beijing time, Mercedes-Benz officially released its EQS pure electric SUV ("EQS pure electric SUV" is the official name of Mercedes-Benz for this model). The EQS pure electric SUV is the first SUV model built on the EVA platform.

In terms of appearance, the EQS pure electric SUV adopts a very typical EQ family design, and the bow body provides ample interior space. The closed grille is embellished with Mercedes-Benz starlight, and the large size of the Mercedes-Benz logo is impressive. Above are the through-day running lights. Unlike the EQS, three sharp triangular light clusters are added to each side of the daytime running lights. Below the triangular light cluster are meteor shower digital headlights. The front surround is decorated in chrome and looks sporty and elegant.
The side of the EQS pure electric SUV looks very full, and the multi-spoke wheels are designed with a certain low wind resistance. Similar to the EQS sedan, the "EQS" logo on the front of the exterior mirror indicates its identity, and the hidden door handle appears on the EQS pure electric SUV without any suspense. The taillights are also designed through, and the rich interior details make the rear look very delicate. The stout chrome trim under the rear adds more hardcore properties to the EQS pure electric SUV. In terms of size, the three-dimensional size of the EQS pure electric SUV is 5125 *1959 *1718, and the wheelbase is consistent with the EQS sedan, which is 3210mm.
In terms of interior, luxury features such as the 1.41-meter MBUX super-screen, the 77-inch HUD heads-up display system with AR real-life cross-through function, and the refreshing function have also been fully transplanted from the EQS sedan to the EQS pure electric SUV. The system previously revealed by overseas media to prevent the co-pilot from browsing the video and affecting the driving was not reflected in the Chinese data.
In addition, the EQS pure electric SUV became the first model in the Mercedes-Benz family to be equipped with the Dolby Atmos system, which can create a 360-degree sound range compared to stereo sound, and together with the Sound of Berlin sound system, it can provide a more stereoscopic listening experience. Along with the EQS pure electric SUV is the exclusive fragrance of the No. 6 "Mimosa" specially created for the car.
The EQS pure electric SUV is available in 5- and 7-seater (third row optional) seating layouts, with the AMG Style Kit models featuring sport seats. After the second and third rows of seats are receded, the EQS pure electric SUV will have 2100L of loading space and will be able to hold four standard golf bags while riding for 5 people.
In terms of power, the EQS pure electric SUV provides two power layouts: rear drive and four-wheel drive. The all-wheel drive model is equipped with a front and rear permanent magnet synchronous motor, capable of delivering a maximum power of 400 kW (544 hp) with a peak torque of 858 Nm. The EQS pure electric SUV uses a battery pack with a capacity of 107.8 kWh, which can provide it with an endurance of up to 660 km (WLTP conditions).
The EQS pure electric SUV features a front four-link rear multi-link independent suspension system with continuously adjustable damping AIRMATIC air suspension, matched with 5 dynamic control options (DYNAMIC SELECT). It is worth mentioning that in the "off-road" mode, the body can be raised by 25mm to improve passability. The EQS pure electric SUV also comes with a rear wheel steering system of up to 10 degrees, shortening its turning diameter to 11 meters.
