In ancient times, it was common for people to dig up a cellar to store things. It's just that many times, things are not human, and it is very difficult to find the cave where the items were once buried, so future generations will occasionally inadvertently dig out some antique cultural relics buried by their predecessors. For example, at the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, the Mongol iron horse attacked, the Southern Song Dynasty was invincible to the strong army, and the enemy occupied the country of Tianfu, Sichuan, and soon this prosperous place became a wailing place, countless people fled around with their belongings, and also left many precious artifacts when they hurried away from home. Until the 1990s, a batch of rather precious porcelain was dug up in the vegetable garden of the villagers in Suining Goldfish Village, Sichuan.
It is said that there was a man named Wang Shiquan at that time, who died of illness. According to local customs, Wang Shiquan should be buried in the field of his family after death. So Wang Shiquan's wife found a Taoist priest and chose a feng shui treasure land as Wang Shiquan's shelter. It was only while she was digging the grave that she inadvertently dug out a porcelain piece. However, Wang Shiquan's wife did not look at it and continued to dig deeper, and soon a dark cave appeared in front of her.
After the villagers heard about it, some of the bold ones secretly ran to the cave and dug up some porcelain to hide. At this time, a passing doctor saw this and told Wang Shiquan's wife that the cultural relics excavated underground belonged to the state, and it was illegal to excavate privately.
Wang Shiquan's wife was also a reasonable person, and when she realized the seriousness of the matter, she immediately reported it to the relevant departments. Later, when archaeologists arrived, they stopped the villagers who had excavated privately and personally conducted on-site surveys. After excavation by experts, a lot of Song Dynasty porcelain was unearthed, all of which are very exquisite and valuable. It is reported that archaeologists excavated a total of 985 pieces of porcelain from it at that time, which made great contributions to the history of the development of Chinese porcelain.
Of the hundreds of pieces of porcelain, more than a hundred are designated as national treasures, and one of them is also known as one of the three national treasures, and this is the only one in the world. It can be seen that this batch of porcelain is quite precious.
