In order to thoroughly study and implement Xi Jinping's cultural thoughts, adhere to integrity and innovation, further promote the construction of a culturally strong city in Guangzhou, lead literary and artistic creation with high-quality literary and artistic criticism, and fully stimulate the enthusiasm and creativity of young literary and artistic critics, the Guangzhou Literary and Art Critics Association will carry out the second youth literary and artistic criticism support work of "Suiyi Youth Review". The work was sponsored by the Guangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles and undertaken by the Guangzhou Literary and Art Critics Association. The relevant matters are hereby notified as follows:
1. Solicitation requirements
(1) Guided by Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, persist in carrying forward the Core Socialist Values.
(2) Take the literary and artistic works and literary phenomena created since the new era as the main objects of commentary, especially focusing on the local literary and artistic works in Guangdong, and write literary and artistic reviews that are both literary and academic. It covers all literary and artistic categories such as literature, drama, film, music, fine arts, calligraphy, opera, dance, folklore, photography, acrobatics, and television. It is required that public opinion is correctly oriented and the position is clear and firm; The ideology is healthy, the content is positive, it can show the correct values and ideological position, and can reflect the sense of responsibility and responsibility of the contemporary youth.
(3) All young literary and art critics across the country can participate, and the participants are under the age of 45 in principle, and the age of those who are particularly outstanding can be relaxed as appropriate.
(4) The entries must be original, and the works that have been published or published in official journals before the deadline of this solicitation shall not be declared. Works that have been published in internal magazines, the Internet, WeChat, Weibo and other media can participate in the evaluation.
(5) Entries are required to be in a standardized format, with clear citation notes, and a word count of 3,000-6,000 words (subject to computer statistics).
(6) All participating articles are deemed to have agreed to be published in relevant media (newspapers and periodicals, WeChat public accounts and other self-media), including consent to be published in collections.
(7) The content of the submitted articles does not accept poetry, prose and other genres, and must abide by the style of literary and artistic criticism, and all manuscripts are in the form of electronic manuscripts.
2. Application and selection methods
(1) The method of declaration
1. This project accepts individual declarations. This call is open to young literary and art critics across the country. For individuals to apply freely, the Guangzhou Municipal Review Association actively mobilizes qualified members to apply, and each Yangcheng review base actively recommends qualified young literary and art critics to actively apply.
2. Those who meet the application conditions will participate in the evaluation by submitting the electronic version of the work. The electronic version will be sent to the e-mail: [email protected], the subject of the email must be marked with "Suiyi Youth Review + Author's Name", and the author and his unit, address and contact number must be indicated at the end of the manuscript.
3. Submission time: From now until September 30, 2024, subject to the time of mail delivery.
(2) Review work
1. Preliminary evaluation: After the Guangzhou Municipal Review Association organizes expert judges to conduct a preliminary review of the works, they will report to the Literary and Art Work Department of the Guangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles to determine 30 works for the preliminary review.
2. Re-evaluation: The works selected in the preliminary evaluation will be selected by the re-evaluation judges, and 20 outstanding works will be selected and reported to the Party Group of the Guangzhou Federation of Literary and Art Circles to determine the final list and creative support list.
3. Support for the creation of Guangzhou literary and art criticism
(1) Quantity: 10 works supported by Guangzhou literary and art criticism, and 10 shortlisted works.
(2) Support funds: 10 Guangzhou literary and art criticism creation support, each support 2,000 yuan (before tax), shortlisted works only issued a shortlisted certificate. The same author can only receive creative support once in a declaration period, and it cannot be repeated.
(3) Support method: After the selection is passed and the contract is signed, the support funds will be distributed to the author's account in a lump sum.
Fourth, outreach activities
After the results of the review are announced, a signing ceremony will be held, certificates will be issued to each supported work, and on-site signing will be signed, and the supported works and shortlisted works will be included in the Guangzhou Literature and Art Criticism Collection for official publication and recommended to national and provincial key literary and art criticism newspapers and periodicals for publication.
