Tie Ning, chairman of the China Writers Association, said in his speech that Chinese literature and Latin American literature have always maintained a distant and cordial connection. Latin American literature has had an important influence on the creation of Chinese writers and is widely loved by Chinese readers. Over the years, the Chinese Writers Association has actively carried out Literary Exchanges between China and Foreign Countries, and the literary exchanges between China and Latin American countries have become more and more frequent, and their understanding of each other has become deeper and more diversified. The holding of the China-Latin America Literature Forum this time, although there is a regret that we can only meet each other "on the screen", it can also be said that it is timely.
Speaking of the theme of the forum, "The Source of Creation", Tie Ning said that only by deeply rooted in the homeland and the people can we explore and absorb inexhaustible literary resources and nutrients. Such literature, whether from an island, a village, a small town or a city, can eventually transcend nationalities, regions, cultures, languages, and times to reach people's hearts.
Robert Rivera, president of the Chilean Writers Association, said that in today's world, people care about venture capital and futures stocks, while writers, poetry and literature are either ignored, or excluded and "exiled". "One of the important duties of writers to remember is to reveal the truth that is obscured by falsehood and to write 'dark matter'. This 'dark matter' is literature, and the most authentic and sincere creative inspiration behind literature. ”
Chinese writers Zhou Daxin, Nishikawa, A B and Qiao Ye, along with Argentine poet Ekdo Dante Singerta, Chilean writer Diego Munoz Valenzuela, Mexican poet Magalito Quial, Colombian writer Claudia Yvonne Giraldo, etc., discussed and exchanged views from different angles around the theme of "the source of creation".
Hu Bangsheng, member of the party leading group and secretary of the Secretariat of the China Writers Association, introduced that this year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Latin American countries such as Mexico and Argentina. In September last year, the China Writers Association initiated the establishment of the "Belt and Road" Literary Alliance, and the Chilean Writers Association, the Argentine Writers Association and many Latin American writers are founding members of the alliance. This forum is the first multilateral literary forum held by the China Writers Association under the framework of the "Belt and Road" Literary Alliance.
