Recently, the Longhu District Philharmonic Citizens' Concert 2022 performance schedule was released, and a total of 10 concerts for the benefit of the people are planned, including folk music, folk songs, pop songs, "Colorful Voices" special sessions, choral special sessions; and out of the theater, into the barracks to support the army; and more worthy of the original work concert - "Ru Feng Kai Hai Jiao" Chaole Choral Poetry Drama, works by a number of Shantou well-known cultural people, music artists and Shantou Philharmonic Choir to create, direct, arrange and perform, chorus, in the chorus, The form of chao music accompaniment is presented, praising the great achievements of Han Yueju chao, a great literary hero of the Tang Dynasty, for eight months.
2022 marks the 10th anniversary of the Longhu District Philharmonic Citizens' Concert. On May 20, 2012, the Propaganda Department of the CPC Shantou Longhu District Committee, the Shantou Longhu District Culture, Radio, Film and Television News and Publication Bureau, the Shantou Longhu District Cultural Center and the Shantou Philharmonic Choir jointly cooperated to plan and establish the "Philharmonic Citizens' Concert", a cultural benefit project, and held the launching ceremony and the first performance.
In the past ten years, as a free open project and emerging carrier to popularize and promote music and art to the masses and enrich the spiritual and cultural life of the masses, the "Philharmonic Citizens' Concert" has gathered the city's music and artistic strength, held 65 concerts to benefit the people, participated in 29 participating teams, nearly 4,000 actors (times), benefited nearly one million people (times), and made positive contributions to the prosperity of Chaoshan literature and art, the integration of performing arts resources, the exploration and cultivation of artistic talents, the creation of literary and artistic products, the polishing of Shantou cultural brands, and the improvement of public cultural services. It highlights the leading advantages and pioneering demonstration role of Longhu District as a national cultural advanced area and the first batch of public cultural service system demonstration areas in Guangdong Province.
In December 2021, the Longhu District Philharmonic Citizens' Concert was rated as a provincial-level public cultural service system demonstration project by the Guangdong Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism.
