At the 2022 Geely Automobile Business Conference, Geely announced this year's product planning, it is understood that 2022 will become Geely's "Year of Thor", launching Emgrand L Hi-X and Xingyue L Hi-X models with hybrid systems.
The biggest highlight of the car is that it is equipped with the Thor God Intelligence Engine Hi · X Hybrid Technology. Combined with the previous information, the new car will be equipped with 1.5TD-3DHT Thunder God Engine system, the maximum endurance is 1300km under full fuel, the acceleration time of 0-100km/h is only 6.9 seconds, and the fuel consumption is only 3.8L/100km.
In terms of appearance, the new car as a whole continues the design style of the current Emgrand L model, which is mainly adjusted for some details and improves the recognition of the whole vehicle. The front face continues the usual large-sized air intake grille, the air intake holes on both sides are embellished with color elements, and the headlight shape is also more narrow and sharp, making the front face more visually aggressive. It is worth mentioning that the new car adopts a new digital streamer logo, making the front face look more technological.
The body side is also a continuation of the design language of the current Emgrand L, the through-type waist line makes the side of the car look not monotonous, and the low wind resistance face wheel, with the charging interface set at the upper left front fender, highlights the new energy identity of the new car. At the rear of the car, the through-type taillights and the brand logo under the light strip enhance the visual level of the rear.
In terms of interior, the new car will adopt a new forest green duplex interior, with a 10.25-inch full LCD instrument, a 12.3-inch suspension central control screen and Thor's exclusive electronic gear, which is full of technology in the simple atmosphere.
Recently, the sharp rise in oil prices has made hybrid vehicles a popular new car choice, including BYD, Great Wall, Geely, Chery and other local brands have launched their own hybrid models. Compared with byd BYD and Changan's plug-in hybrid system, Geely adopts a hybrid form similar to Honda and Toyota, and does not rely on pure electricity.
In the past February, Geely released the latest sales data: due to the shortage of body electronic stability system (ESP) chips and the Spring Festival holiday, February sales of 78,478 vehicles. Among them, the penetration rate of new energy reached a record high of 18.5%, and the sales volume of China Star accounted for 24.5% of the total sales volume of Geely brands, achieving a new breakthrough in high-value and new energy.
Although traditional fuel vehicles are under pressure, Geely's pure electric vehicles alone have sold more than 12,200 units, plus 2,046 hybrid vehicles, Geely's overall new energy vehicle sales are about 14,300 units. This level has surpassed the sales of new energy vehicles by all new car-making forces, and covers almost all major price ranges from high-end, to intermediate and low-end.
The proportion of new energy vehicles in Geely's total sales also rose to 18.2%, which is already at a high level among large domestic automakers (in February, in addition to new forces and BYD, SAIC Motor was about 16%, Great Wall Motor was about 8.84%, and GUANGZHOU Automobile Group was about 7.3%).
