Smart official has officially unveiled a new generation of pure electric vehicle family naming system with "#" and digital as the core elements. As the first member of the brand after the brand renewal, the new smart genie #1 mass production car was released in the early morning of April 8, Beijing time, and is expected to be listed in the Chinese market within this year.
From the official picture, the front of the new smart genie #1 is soft and rounded, and the two sides of the front are equipped with headlight groups similar to rounded triangles, and the two light groups are connected by a through-type light strip. In addition, although this car is a pure electric drive system, it is still equipped with an air intake grille, which must be able to play a role in dissipating heat for the motor.
In terms of body size, the new Smart Genie #1 has a length, width and height of 4270mm, 1822mm and 1636mm, respectively, and a wheelbase of 2750mm. Compared with the previous products of the Smart brand, the size of smart genie #1 has achieved "leapfrogging", such a size even exceeds some small cars, and the performance of the interior space may be a highlight.
In terms of interior, the new car has a left-right symmetrical center console, and is equipped with a 9.2-inch LCD dashboard and a 12.8-inch floating central control screen, which supports voice interaction, mobile APP remote control and other functions. The computing power of the new car is very powerful, mainly controlling four main areas: infotainment, driver assistance systems, electric vehicle-specific functions, and electric/electronic architecture.
In terms of power, the vehicle will use a rear permanent magnet synchronous motor with a maximum power of 200 kW, a peak torque of 343 N·m, and a time of 6.7s for acceleration from 100 km/h. At the same time, smart genie #1 is equipped with a ternary lithium battery pack with a capacity of 66kWh, with a maximum cruising range of up to 560km, supporting AC slow charging and DC fast charging.
The new generation of smart genie #1 was designed by Mercedes-Benz Global Design, with geely's Global R&D Center supporting engineering development. Smart Brand Global Joint Venture is headquartered in Hangzhou Bay New Area, Ningbo, China, and has set up marketing centers in China and Germany.
