About a year ago, Jeep released the purely electric-powered Wrangler Magneto concept car. This year's Wrangler Magneto 2.0, as an upgraded version, will bring a lot of new technologies that are different from ordinary electric vehicles.
As the hardest wrangler, it pursues not the highest speed, but the low speed of large torque. The ordinary motor speed is as high as 10000rpm or more, and this type of motor is also prone to overheating during load and climbing.
Jeep Wrangler Magneto 2.0 is equipped with a proprietary research and development of axial flux motor with a maximum speed of only 5250 rpm. It can even be paired with a six-speed manual transmission, which has a one-speed gear ratio optimized from 5.13 to 3.36.
Pure electric drive + manual transmission, this operation is also more special.
This electric drive peak current more than doubles that of an ordinary electric vehicle to 600 amps. So the Magneto 2.0 concept car can output 625 horsepower. Instantaneous output up to 850 lb-ft (~1150 Nm. meters) peak torque, more than three times that of last year's 1.0 concept car.
With the new electric powertrain calibration system, the peak current can be instantaneously maintained for up to 10 seconds, and in this mode, it takes only 2 seconds to accelerate 0 to 60 mph (about 96 km/ h).

For a better front-to-back counterweight ratio when off-road, Jeep's engineers distributed four lithium-ion battery packs with a total capacity of 70 kWh on the chassis. And with the 800-volt voltage system, there is also an inverter from the car.
The off-road chassis consists of a Dynatrac 60 Pro-Rock front axle and a pro-Rock Dynatrac 80 large rear axle, with a custom 3-inch lift kit and 20-inch wheels paired with 40-inch off-road tires.
The Jeep Wrangler Magneto 2.0 Concept has a beautiful look, surf blue paint, custom carbon fiber B-pillar, and a custom hood with a blue transparent glass design that lets you see the powertrain under the hood.

What are the advantages of a pure electric off-road SUV?
When cars around the world started electrifying, there were two areas where we initially thought it would be difficult to electrify models: supercars and off-road artifacts like the Wrangler.
