"Tianlu Bay" was published by the Changjiang Literature and Art Publishing House in January this year, and the novel takes the forty years of reform and opening up as the background of the times, lyrically describes the long and arduous entrepreneurial history of the peasants in the Jianghan Plain who have achieved poverty alleviation through struggle, and the panorama reproduces the great transformation process of China's contemporary countryside, which is a major work of the contemporary rural poverty alleviation and well-off. Zhou Fengrong, second-level inspector of the Propaganda Department of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee and director of the Publication Management Department, said that Chen Yingsong has regarded his hometown as the source of living water for many years, and the work "Tianlu Bay" is full of his yearning for green water and green mountains, his watch for the homeland and countryside, his love for nature and all things, and his respect for agricultural farmers.
Chen Yingsong, author of "Tianlu Bay", former vice chairman of the Hubei Provincial Writers Association and dean of the College of Literature, said that "Tianlu Bay" is a hometown book of his, a story about his hometown and land. "The novel is inspired by my hometown, but also from life... Grapes and hometown are just a background, I just want to write about a group of farmers, about two generations of farmers, their feelings for the land, their struggle for a better life. Chen Yingsong said that he would adhere to the guiding ideology of "the people are life, life is the people" and continue to write "the people's epic that never ends.".
Li Jingze, vice chairman of the China Writers Association, believes that "Tianlu Bay" is a very unique and very important work in Chen Yingsong's own creative vein, from writing Shennongjia to writing about the Jianghan Plain, the transformation of this theme is the result of Chen Yingsong's conscious and arduous adjustment of his own subject position and even the structure of the subject, from "high degree of artistic coding" to "self-decoding" and "artistic decoding". For Chen Yingsong, "Tianlu Bay" is "re-hometownization" - returning to his hometown and re-understanding his hometown, Chen Yingsong describes the great changes in the countryside from a literary, emotional and rational perspective and in an appropriate way, infiltrated by the perspective of sociology and anthropology.
Bai Ye, researcher of the Institute of Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and president of the Chinese Contemporary Literature Society, commented: "Tianlu Bay" is a blockbuster work of China's contemporary poverty alleviation. Set against the backdrop of the changes of the times in the past 40 years, the novel focuses on the Jianghan Plain and writes about the profound evolution of contemporary Chinese rural areas from poverty to food and clothing, from food and clothing to prosperity.
