Reading "Dream of the Red Chamber" is not complicated, as long as you are familiar with more than a dozen historical allusions, you will suddenly be enlightened

A close reading of "Dream of the Red Chamber" will find that many of the plot and story settings in it have a sense of familiarity. From historical fragments to literary works, Cao Xueqin has many references, enriching the main theme of the rise and fall of "Dream of the Red Chamber".

The emperor who was so similar to the "Xuanwumen Change" fought for power with the Prince of Yizhong, Lao Chitose; jia Yuanchun's death corresponded to the change of Ma Songyi, the Battle of Jingnan in which "the uncle slept in the bed of his nephew", the "Nanjing Vacant Ningrong Second Mansion" where Zhu Di moved the capital to Beijing, and the "adopted little uncle" who satirized the marriage of the Empress Dowager of the Qing Dynasty, and so on.

Historical fragments are the main theme of the rise and fall of the Jia family. Assisting the enrichment of the leaf veins of other branches is a dense collection of traditional literary allusions, and this article briefly talks about which literary allusions Cao Xueqin borrowed.

I. "Peacock Flying Southeast" and "Phoenix"

The tragedy of the marriage of Jia Baoyu, Lin Daiyu and Xue Baochao exemplified these two stories. It is the mother-in-law who does not like the daughter-in-law, and the forced beating of the Mandarin duck has caused tragedy.

Madame Wang is like Jiao Mu and Lu Mu;

Jia Baoyu is like Jiao Zhongqing and Lu You;

Lin Daiyu is like Liu Lanzhi and Tang Wan;

Xue Baochao is like the daughter of the Eastern Neighbor and the wife of successive travelers.

Lin Daiyu does not like Lu You, which stems from not liking her marriage with Jia Baoyu and encountering the story of "Chao Tou Feng".

II. The Biography of the Monk Yuanze

Jia Baoyu's ending is to become a monk, and his previous life god Ying waiter is also a monk's setting, which is derived from Su Shi's "Biography of monk Yuanze".

The Tang Dynasty scholar Li Yuan, who was friends with the monk Yuanze, met to travel into Sichuan, and after passing through the Three Gorges, he met a woman surnamed Wang who was pregnant and infertile. Yuanze told Li Yuan the truth, the child in the womb of the Wang woman was his reincarnation, and agreed to meet Li Yuan again at the Tianzhu Temple in Hangzhou thirteen years later. That night, Yuanze passed away, and Mrs. Wang gave birth to a son.

Thirteen years later, Li Yuan arrived as promised, and a shepherd boy sang "Bamboo Branch Words" and came, that is, Yuanze was in this life, and agreed to meet again when the dust was over.

The story of Sanshengshi, the surname of Lady Wang, and the ending of Jia Baoyu's past life as a monk in this life are all borrowed from the "Biography of Monk Yuanze".

3. "A Bunch of Snow", "Hall of Eternal Life", "Handan Chronicle", "Peony Pavilion"

(Eighteenth time) When he was young, the eunuch came out and ordered only four plays:

The first "Grand Feast"; [Gengchen Double Line Sandwich Batch: The Defeat of the Fujia Family in A Bunch of Snow". 】

The second "Beggar Qiao"; [Gengchen Double Line Clip Criticism: The Death of Concubine Fu Yuan in the Hall of Eternal Life". 】

The third "Immortal Edge"; [Gengchen Double Line Sandwich Batch: Fu Zhen Baoyu sends jade in "Handan Dream". 】

The fourth play is "Leaving the Soul". [Gengchen Double Line Sandwich Criticism: Fu Daiyu died in "Peony Pavilion". The drama and the four events pointed out are the great festivals and the great keys of the general book. 】

The comments of Li Yanzhai have been clarified, and the supplement is that "A Bunch of Snow" indicates that the Jia family's family was calculated by the emperor, and the bird hid it with a bow and lost. Jia Zheng and Jia Baoyu of the Rongguo Government were unjustly murdered, while Jia Yu, Jia Zhen, and Jia Rong were killed.

The Hall of Eternal Life implies that Jia Yuanchun died in the "Great Dream of the Tiger And the Encounter", and was involved in the struggle for power between the King of Northern Jing and the Emperor, and in a conflict similar to the change of Ma Songyi, he was hanged by the Emperor like Yang Guifei.

"Handan Dream" is a dream of Huang Liang, alluding to Jia Baoyu's rich family, happy love, but when he loses everything unjustly and sees through the red dust, just like Lu Sheng, who woke up in his dream, finally became a monk.

"Peony Pavilion" makes it clear that Lin Daiyu died of lovesickness like Du Liniang, and died in tears on the night of august mid-autumn "cold moon burial flower soul".

Fourth, "The Tale of the West Chamber" and "The Record of the True Future"

Jia Baoyu and Lin Daiyu peeked at "The Tale of the West Chamber" to induce the two to have feelings for each other. Cao Xueqin alludes to the development of Bao Dai's love through Jia Yun, Xiao Hong and Xiang'er. And borrowed Qingwen to send a handkerchief, echoing the story of "West Chamber".

Qingwen and Xiang'er were both picked up, and the original text used "Hui Zhen Ji" instead of "Xi Xiang Ji", indicating the tragedy of Bao Dai's marriage.

"The Tale of the West Chamber" is the reunion of the grand finale.

In "Hui Zhen Ji", Zhang Sheng is a scumbag who has always been chaotic and abandoned, and he has done his best to belittle Cui Yingying.

V. The Record of the Jing Dynasty and the Record of the Jing Dynasty

The "Book of Chao Ju" tells that the scholar Huangfu Yin and the rich woman Shi Bitao first had a marriage contract, but because the Emperor Fu Yin's family fell in the middle, The Shi family had the heart to marry another. Shi Bitao did not follow his father's orders and stole valuable jewelry such as gold noodles and gold jun, but he was taken advantage of by the villain, and he and Emperor Fuyin experienced life and death tribulations, and finally married.

Zhang Jinge's "divorce case" was born out of the "Record of Chao Jun".

Jia Yuanchun likes lingguan singing "Meet" and "Scold", and the protagonist is Shi Bitao's handmaiden Yun xiang. It shows Yuanchun's position of supporting Xue Baochao and opposing Lin Daiyu.

"The Record of Jingchao" tells the story of Wang Shipeng and Qian Yulian, Qian Yulian refused to marry the rich, and bitterly waited for the poor scholar Wang Shipeng to be hired by "Jingchao". Wang Shipeng Zhongzhuangyuan refused to force Wan Qian to marry, was framed by design, and left a "letter of resignation" to trick Yulian into being deceived, qian Yulian's stepmother forced her to remarry and not commit suicide from the river, but was fortunately saved. After all kinds of twists and turns, Wang and Qian were finally reunited.

After Jia Baoyu went to the Shuixian Nunnery to pay tribute to Jin Jun'er, when he returned, he was performing "The Record of Jingchao", and Lin Daiyu also made a sarcastic remark that Jia Baoyu imitated Wang Shipeng's sacrifice to pay tribute to his "deceased wife", which echoed the "Furong Daughter Recitation" in the later article, which was a tribute to Lin Daiyu.

The stories of "The Record of Chao Ju" and "The Record of Jing Chao" are both good marriages that have been destroyed by power, and the male protagonist has been unjustly killed, which is in line with the theme of Jia Baoyu and Jia Jia's unjust murder.

The stories of "Jingchao" and "Jingchao" are important auxiliaries to reading the story of Bao Daichao.

There are many other historical allusions, such as "Double Official", "Full Bed Wat", "Nanke Ji", "White Snake", "Mixed Yuan Box", "Bayi Guan Lantern", etc., all related to the fall of the Jia family. Readers can inquire about allusions, and confirm them one by one with "Dream of the Red Chamber", which will surely be suddenly enlightened and have a deeper understanding.
