According to the contract: during the insurance period, when the average market price of the insurance grapes in the agreed period is lower than the target price, and the price decline is more than 10% (inclusive), it is deemed that the insured accident occurs, and the insurer is responsible for compensation in accordance with the agreement. On January 3, 2021 Chinese Life Property & Casualty Insurance Co., Ltd. Shouning County Marketing Department cashed in the claim payment of 782,500 yuan to Shouning County Xiangrui Grape Growing Professional Cooperative.
Fengyang Town, Shouning County, is located in the northern foothills of Baiyun Mountain, with an average altitude of 650 meters, and has the unique geographical advantage of growing grapes. Grape cultivation has become an important local agricultural industry, the existing grape planting area of nearly 10,000 mu, the annual output value of more than 100 million yuan.
On May 20, 2020, under the leadership of the People's Government of Fengyang Town, Shouning County, Chinese Life Property & Casualty Insurance Shouning County Marketing Service Department also signed a cooperation agreement with Shouning County Xiangrui Grape Planting Professional Cooperative. According to the cooperation agreement, the Shouning County Marketing Service Department of Chinese Life Property Insurance Co., Ltd. will entrust the Shouning County Xiangrui Grape Planting Professional Cooperative to provide one-year organic water-soluble fertilizer to nearly 20 acres of vineyards in 5 poor households in Fengyang Town, improve the soil structure of the vineyards, improve soil cleanliness and reduce pests; at the same time, give poor farmers one-stop professional and technical guidance and support before, during and after production, help poor farmers improve grape quality and yield, increase income, and achieve poverty alleviation.
It is understood that since 2018, with the support of local government departments, the Marketing Service Department of Shouning County of Chinese Life Property insurance has explored a precise poverty alleviation model of "government + insurance + poverty alleviation", providing risk protection for tea, grapes and other crops of poor farmers in Shouning County, improving the ability of farmers to resist natural disasters such as low temperatures, typhoons and heavy rainfall, and preventing poverty from returning to poverty due to disasters. After the disaster, the claim payment was cashed out at the first time, and more than 1.2 million yuan has been paid in total. In June 2019, Shouning County withdrew from the provincial poverty alleviation and development key county. In order to help consolidate the hard-won results of poverty alleviation, Chinese Life Property & Casualty Ningde City Center Branch and the Shouning County Government launched the Protection (Risk Management) Service to Prevent Poverty Return to Poverty due to Illness and Disaster, preventing poor and low-income people from returning to poverty due to diseases or natural disasters, and has accumulated more than 500,000 yuan in subsidies.
