Shang Dejun is a well-known expert in integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine surgery and peripheral vascular diseases in mainland China, and is also the winner of the title of the second "Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine", a famous old Chinese medicine expert with outstanding contributions in Shandong Province, and has received a special government allowance from the State Council.

In 1932, Shang Dejun was born in a poor peasant family in Henan Province. When he was four years old, his father died of lung disease. When he was a little older, his mother told him that when he grew up, he would study medicine to save the poor people. In 1952, Shang Dejun was successfully admitted to Shandong Provincial Medical College.

In 1955, after graduating with excellent results, he joined the work, and later, he worshiped the famous surgeon Xu Jie as his teacher, and after following Xu Lao, they went to the mining area, went to the villages and towns, and went deep into the homes of ordinary people, visiting patients to see doctors, treating diseases and saving people.

In 1956, Shang Dejun was selected to participate in the first batch of "Western Medicine Resignation System Learning Traditional Chinese Medicine Class" in China, that is, the Tianjin Traditional Chinese Medicine Research Class. Since then, he has formed a deep relationship with Chinese medicine.

Coming from a Western medical background, Shang Dejun had difficulty understanding the esoteric classical texts of Chinese medicine at first, and had a hard time learning them. In order to grasp these classic TCM theories more quickly, Shang Dejun used all his free time to study TCM classics.

After nearly three years of dedicated study, Shang Dejun has mastered the basic theories of traditional Chinese medicine. Shang Dejun also realized the uniqueness of Chinese medicine, and it was precisely what Western medicine lacked, which laid a solid foundation for his future integration of Chinese and Western medicine.

After graduating from the TCM class, Shang Dejun worked in Liaoning College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and the Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical College. In 1962, he was transferred to Shandong College of Traditional Chinese Medicine (now Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine) and successively served as a lecturer, associate professor and professor, and in 1979, he was hired as a master's tutor in Chinese medicine surgery, which was the first batch of master's tutors in China.

Shang Dejun has been engaged in the clinical, teaching and scientific research of integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine in the treatment of peripheral vascular diseases for more than 60 years, creating a precedent in China and creating a new theoretical system for the treatment of peripheral vascular diseases with integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine, with remarkable clinical efficacy. The Handbook on the Prevention and Treatment of Buerger's Disease, edited by him, has been highly recognized by the Ministry of Health and promoted throughout the country.

In 1979, he edited and published the first monograph on peripheral vascular disease in China: "Peripheral Vascular Disease Syndrome and Treatment".

Master Shang Dejun has also published 80 academic papers and 17 academic monographs such as "Surgical Extrasurgical Treatment" and "Surgical Fumigation Therapy". Among them, the book "Surgical Fumigation Therapy" comprehensively summarizes the experience of fumigation therapy in surgery, peripheral vascular diseases, orthopedics and other areas according to clinical practice, and further enriches, improves and develops fumigation therapy.
