Hu Weimeng, the old branch secretary, told the history of Jichang Village

Jichang Village is more famous, and it is located in the southwest of the village more than 600 years ago Zhu Yuanzhang left the site of Tunjun Mountain during the period of "moving north to conquer the south".

As you climb the ruins of Tunjun Mountain along the winding and steep mountain road, the first thing that catches your eye is the city wall made of cyan slate stones. There are square stone holes along the city wall every few meters, which are said to be military defenses set up to defend against enemy attacks and to observe the situation outside the city.

Walking into the city gate, the entire military tun area is clearly planned, and the ground is neatly paved with stone slabs. There is an open field not far from the city gate, according to the old branch secretary of the same industry, this is the core area of the entire military tun "meeting hall", where various military meetings were held, and now the local villagers will also hold celebrations such as "June 6th" here.

The site of Tunjun Mountain

Because the site of Tunjun Mountain is located at the highest point in the surrounding area, from the top of the mountain, you can see the surrounding situation in full view, and if you encounter an emergency, you can quickly transmit information to the troops stationed around through the beacon tower.

After hundreds of years of invasion, Tunjun Mountain has lost its former scenery, and has long been surrounded by weeds, trees and moss, but through the remnants of the ruins and the fragments of armor, weapons, cooking utensils, etc. found from time to time, you can still feel the magnificent momentum of the military tun back then.

In Jichang, there is also a folk custom that has been followed for more than 600 years called "carrying the pavilion · welcoming Wang Gong".

"When we Tunpu people brought here from Jiangnan six hundred years ago, we brought the folk customs and beliefs of our hometown to Qiandi." Hu Weimeng, the old branch secretary, told reporters that 'Wang Gong' is the belief and protector of the Tunpu people, and in order to cherish the memory of the ancestors, he specially chose to hold activities on the birthday of 'Wang Gong' (the eighteenth day of the first lunar month) to pray for smooth weather and peace for the country and the people. ”

Carrying "Wang Gong" is also known as "Tunpu Carrying Pavilion", this custom has been maintained by Tunpu people for more than 600 years, and it has not been interrupted until now.

It is reported that on the day of the pavilion carrying activity, after the grand sacrificial ceremony was held in front of the Wanggong Temple, the statue of "Wanggong" was carried around in the Tunzhong, and on both sides of the road, the people of Tunpu put offerings, lit candles and incense, and set off firecrackers to welcome. In the parade procession, there are also costume floats, waist drum teams, local opera teams, etc., which are full of strong Tunpu folk customs.

Tunpu "Lifting Pavilion" activity has completely preserved the folk activities in the ancient Jianghuai region, if the local opera is the living fossil of the drama, then Yingwang Gong is the "living fossil" of the Jianghuai Shehuo.

Zhu Baijing, a member of the organization committee of Daxiqiao Town, told reporters: "In order to inherit and protect this folk custom that has been passed down for hundreds of years, the government will subsidize a certain amount of activity funds every year, which makes the villages more confident in inheriting the activities of Tunpu and carrying Wang Gong, and strive to inherit and carry forward this original traditional folk custom of Tunpu." ”
