On April 3, BYD announced that according to the company's strategic development needs, BYD Automobile will stop the production of fuel vehicles from April 3, 2022, and will focus on pure electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles.

It can be said that BYD is currently the first car company in China to announce the suspension of fuel vehicle production, and of course, it is also the world's first automobile brand to suspend the manufacture of fuel vehicles.
It is understood that in the past March, BYD's new energy model sales exceeded the 100,000 mark, reaching 104338, an increase of 160.9% year-on-year. Among them, dm plug-in hybrid models sold 50,674 units, an increase of 615.2% year-on-year. Sales of 53,664 EV models increased by 229.2% year-on-year.
Of course, BYD's announcement of the full "electrification" of products does not mean that it completely abandons fuel, because there are still a large number of fuel models on the market, and for this part of the user, BYD has also made a commitment to continue to provide them with perfect service and after-sales protection, as well as the supply of spare parts throughout the life cycle.
