soy milk
As one of the important drinks for breakfast
Not only does the taste are fragrant and mellow
And it is rich in plant-based proteins
Nutritious and easy to absorb
But some people say that long-term drinking soy milk is easy to induce breast cancer
Is this true?
Can we still drink soy milk?
Can soy milk induce breast cancer?
Not really.
Soy milk contains a phytoestrogen - soy isoflavones, which are very similar to estrogen in the human body, also known as phytoestrogens.
Soybean isoflavones can not only replace estrogen to bind to the receptor, play a similar role to estrogen, but also interfere with the binding of estrogen to the receptor, showing an anti-estrogen-like effect. When there is insufficient estrogen in the body, it can play a complementary role, and when there is too much estrogen in the body, it can play an inhibitory role.
So soy milk does not induce breast cancer.
However, some women may indeed have problems with sensitivity to soy isoflavones or soy proteins. If there is no sensitive issue, there is generally no need to fear the effects of soy milk and tofu on breast cancer
Soy milk should not be drunk in excess
Related studies have found that drinking soy milk in moderation can help reduce the incidence of breast cancer in Asian populations and also help improve the symptoms of menopause in women.
According to the Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents, it is recommended to consume 30 to 50g of soybeans and soybean products per person per day (soy milk is about 300ml).
Of course, the anti-cancer effect of soy milk is also limited, can not replace the drug, excessive intake may also produce many side effects. In particular, the following groups should drink with caution:
People with weak bowel function
The oligosaccharides contained in beans can cause symptoms such as hiccups, bowel sounds, and bloating, so people with poor gastrointestinal function cannot drink too much;
People with renal failure
Soybeans and their products are rich in plant protein, and contain certain potassium and phosphorus elements, kidney failure combined with high phosphorus and high potassium patients, should not be over-consumed;
Patients with kidney stones and gout
People with kidney stones, gout, and diarrhea should not drink too much soy milk;
Obese, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular disease patients
In order to pursue taste, many people will put sugar in soy milk, excessive intake of sugar will increase the risk of obesity, cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and obesity is one of the culprits that increase the risk of breast cancer.
A balanced diet is healthy
The so-called "food supplement" does not recommend eating a single, excessive amount of a certain food, but should be balanced diet.
The "Balanced Diet Pagoda for Chinese Residents" and the "Dietary Guidelines for Chinese Residents" also advocate the diversification of daily diets. The types of food intake per day should be rich, to ensure that all kinds of food are included, but also to differentiate the varieties of each type of food, not picky and not partial.
Finally, about the prevention of breast cancer, give everyone a "health" secret: a reasonable diet, more exercise, abandon vices, go to bed early and get up early, self-examination physical examination, positive and optimistic!
