IT Home learned that in January 2019, NetEase announced that it had acquired part of Quantic Dream and confirmed that the latter would operate independently. If the news is accurate, NetEase will completely pocket Quantic Dream.
According to the media Exputer, the news that NetEase will fully acquire Quantic Dream will be announced this summer, and the two sides have been negotiating for months. One of the reasons Quantic Dream wants to sell itself may be that it has been exposed to "toxic work culture, racism and sexism".
