Tom Henderson, a well-known whistleblower, brought new news today (March 31): Quantic Dream, developer of "Detroit: Becoming a Man", will be completely acquired by NetEase. If all goes well, the two sides could release the message this summer.
As early as 2019, NetEase had purchased a minority stake in Quantic Dream. According to Henderson, the two sides have now been negotiating for months on the wholly-owned acquisition, but it remains unclear whether the deal was fully finalized.
