Jiwei Network news, on March 31, Jiejie Micro-telegram issued a document saying that the "power semiconductor six-inch wafer and device packaging and testing production line" construction project undertaken by the subsidiary Jiejie Semiconductor Co., Ltd., of which the six-inch wafer "pilot line" has a trial production capacity, and the first batch of six-inch wafers with high surge protection capabilities were produced on March 26, 2022, with a yield of 97.79%.
Jiejie Microelectronics said that after the project is put into production, the products can be widely used in computer systems, security communications, AC/DC power supplies, automotive electronics, household appliances, instrumentation, consumer electronics, digital cameras and other market areas, to achieve common/differential mode protection of circuits, RF coupling/IC drive reception protection, electromagnetic wave interference suppression, static suppression and transient noise suppression. With broad market prospects, it will greatly broaden the original product line and effectively reduce the dependence of the domestic market on imported chips.
At present, the project has set up a professional team of nearly 50 people, composed of experts in the field of semiconductors, senior engineers, and senior engineering and technical experts with many years of experience in large-scale wafer production enterprises, providing strong technical support for the rapid realization of high-quality production and efficiency.
It is understood that the construction of the six-inch wafer "pilot line" took only more than two months from the first equipment into the factory to the output of the first piece. After the project reaches production, it can realize the industrialization capacity of 1 million pieces/year of six-inch wafers and 10 billion pieces/year of device packaging and testing. The project further improves the ability of enterprises to replace domestic imports of high-end power semiconductor devices, so that Jiejie has taken another step towards the goal of becoming a world-oriented power semiconductor enterprise.
