On March 30, FAW Toyota's flagship sedan, the new Asia Dragon, was officially launched, launching a total of 10 models priced at 199,800-27.98 million, and the car made adjustments in terms of appearance and configuration, so that the product strength was further improved. The new Asian Dragon front grille eliminates the multi-banner design and replaces it with chrome dot matrix trim, and will also provide an overall all-black mesh front grille design, similar to the North American version of the Asian Dragon TRD model, giving consumers more choice.
FAW Toyota Asia Dragon originated from the GA-K platform under the Toyota TNGA architecture, maintaining the design of the overseas version in appearance, the design style is very radical, the overall feeling of high-end atmosphere, positioned in the mid-level car. Compared with its peers, the Asian Dragon has a body length of nearly 5 meters, which brings a comfortable and spacious space, which is also one of the characteristics of this car to attract consumers.
The new Asia Dragon series is equipped with TSS 2.5 Zhixing security system and Toyota Zhixing interconnection system as standard, eliminating the automatic adjustment function of headlight level. The entry-level model adjusts the 9-inch multimedia display to 8 inches, the 2.0-liter mid-size model Deluxe Edition adds wireless charging of mobile phones, and upgrades the 9-inch multimedia display to 10.1 inches. The top model adjusts the panoramic image to a rear-view image, and the additional configuration includes a full LCD instrument panel, a 10.1-inch multimedia display, a touch air conditioning panel and wireless charging of the mobile phone. The whole series has added a shark fin antenna, Type-C interface, and keyless entry for co-drivers.
The 2.5-liter model is similar to the 2.0-liter model, and the Deluxe version adds dual-color sports seats, and the Premium version adds a full LCD instrument panel and automatic anti-glare interior mirrors on the basis of the deluxe version. Hybrid models come standard with keyless entry for the co-pilot, Type-C interface, 10.1-inch multimedia display, and more. The Premium and Ultimate editions are upgraded with touch-sensitive air-conditioning panels and 12.3-inch LCD instrument panels, while the top-of-the-line models are also equipped with rain-sensing wipers.
In terms of power, the new Asia Dragon will continue the previous power mix, offering two petrol engines of 2.0-liter and 2.5-liter and a 2.5-liter hybrid system. It matches the 2.0-liter engine with a simulated 10-speed CVT CVT continuously variable transmission, the 2.5-liter engine with an 8-speed manual transmission, and the hybrid system with an E-CVT continuously variable transmission.
In the current market, consumers prefer to pursue a balance between quality and price. Especially intermediate car consumers, they have a certain economic foundation, more is to buy or buy more users, more experience in car buying, more willing to pay for good products.
