In contrast, weilai's net loss, which also caused new forces, continued to narrow, falling to 4.02 billion yuan in 2021 and losing 44,000 yuan from the sale of a car.

Specifically, in 2021, The sales revenue of Xiaopeng Automobile was RMB20.04 billion, an increase of 261.3% year-on-year; the gross profit margin increased from 4.6% in 2020 to 12.5%, the gross profit margin of automobile sales increased from 3.5% in 2020 to 11.5%; the annual R&D investment was 4.11 billion yuan, an increase of 138.4% year-on-year; and the cash reserve reached 43.54 billion yuan, an increase of 23.2% year-on-year, but there is still a certain gap compared with Weilai's 55.4 billion yuan.

Despite the lack of cores, Xiaopeng's main sales model P7 deliveries reached 60,569 units in 2021, an increase of 302% year-on-year; the cumulative deliveries of the G3 series after the overhaul were 29,721 units, an increase of 148% year-on-year; and the new P5 car delivered 7,865 units in just two months. This year, Xiaopeng's flagship SUV G9 will be launched in the third quarter, and the launch of new cars will bring new growth points to sales.
