Gu Xiaojun said that he was more interested in the history, literature and philosophy of the European Renaissance, which were either French, German or Latin, so he needed to study more linguistics. Gu Xiaojun said that many people will feel that the classical language is very boring, often dozing off after reading a few lines of books, but he is always attracted by the difficult language, "For example, when I first came into contact with Greek, I wanted to read it when I didn't understand it, so I would constantly check the materials, record more things, and every time I read a new fragment, I would be particularly excited, and then I would be prompted to keep learning." Like all people who study foreign languages, he was first exposed to English and learned some Japanese in college, but as he deepened his study of Western classical literature, he became more interested in European languages.
"Reading is my hobby, I don't see them as a job or for academic research, but as a pursuit of the world I'm interested in." Last year, Gu Xiaojun did not use a smart phone, and later because he entered the library to check the health code, he changed the smart phone, "After using the smart phone, a lot of information can be stored in the mobile phone, and I think it is good to take it out anytime and anywhere to read the memory." Gu Xiaojun said that his usual job is to provide services to people who come to read in the library, help everyone find books, borrow books, and answer the inquiries of dozens of readers a day.
