25 years ago, the first generation of Toyota Prius was born, and in the quarter of a century since then, Toyota has been able to say that the gasoline-electric hybrid system has been very "slippery", and today Toyota's electrification strategy is mainly four parts: hybrid, plug-in hybrid, fuel cell and pure electricity. To be honest, this is also the strategic layout of most domestic and international auto companies in the field of new energy, but the difference is that Toyota has achieved mass production in these four dimensions.
The bZ4X is Toyota's pioneer in mass production of pure electric models.
From the name point of view, TOYOTAbZ means "BeyondZero Beyond Zero Emissions", representing a new pure electronic brand; 4 represents the size of the model, while the bZ4X's long wheelbase is slightly larger than the RAV4 Rongfang's level; X is an SUV.
From the styling point of view, the bZ4X adopts Toyota's latest design language, square with round, just in the middle with soft, "hammerhead shark" front shape is very special, and in the front fender and rear wheel arches with black paint to make the whole car in the layer more abundant, giving people a very uncommon but still very good looking looking look. The biggest highlight in the interior is naturally the high-tech special-shaped steering wheel, which is like a concept car, small and exquisite and dynamic, and the positive and negative steering angle only needs 150 degrees, which is more flexible and fast. However, this special-shaped steering wheel is currently only available on top-of-the-line models.
Thanks to the unique layout of the exclusive e-TNGA architecture, the bZ4X has a wheelbase of 2850mm, a distance of 1000mm between front and rear passengers, comparable to mid-to-high-end cars, and the legroom in the front and rear rows has reached the highest level in its class. The bZ4X is equipped with a high-performance, low-decay battery that can achieve more than 90% battery capacity after 10 years.
At the same time, Toyota's 25-year battery system 0 accident record, coupled with the latest ToyotaSafetySense safety (TSS3.0), bZ4X can be said to have reached the industry's top level in safety.
Importantly, bZ4X also has a solar charging roof, can use solar power to 12V power supply or power battery, the energy absorbed each year can be used for the vehicle to travel about 1800km, in fact, the vehicle can be about 11 kilometers more per day endurance, so that bZ4X has become a BEV model that can generate its own electricity, of course, this configuration is currently only provided on the top model.
In terms of driving performance, the bZ4X will also be equipped with XMODE function and equipped with "Grip-Control" to achieve a performance that surpasses that of its peers.
The bZ4X is expected to be available in the first half of this year, and there are still many performance data that have not been made public, but the maximum cruising range is expected to reach the WLTP 500 km level. As an electric vehicle, reliable safety can be said to be far more important than performance, so bZ4X, as a pure electric model with Toyota QDR quality genes, is likely to trigger an effect in the current highly competitive field, breaking the balance between new forces and traditional car companies.
