As an important part of traditional Chinese culture, calligraphy has formed its own unique style in its long-term evolution, which is not only reflected in the strokes and structure of the text, but also fully reflects the unique charm of Huaxia in the writing of the text.
In the history of Chinese calligraphy, there have been many "father-son" calligraphers, such as the famous "Two Kings" of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, sending Wang Xizhi and Wang Xianzhi; "Big and Small Ou", that is, Ouyang Qing and Ouyang Tong; "Sheng Tang Two Lords", that is, Tang Taizong and Tang Gaozong... However, there are very few "father-daughter" calligraphers, after all, in ancient times, it was virtue to follow the female talentlessness. Although there are few, but not without, Zhao Mengfu and Zhao Youyao are "father-daughter" type writers.
Every time Zhao Mengfu is mentioned, the calligrapher and painter have to lament the high artistic talent of Zhao Shi. Zhao Mengfu is erudite and versatile, able to write poetry, through economic science, gong calligraphy, fine painting art, good at gold stones, tonglulu, xie appreciation. In painting, he created a new style of painting in the Yuan Dynasty, known as the "Crown of the Yuan People". His books are good at seals, li, zhen, xing, and grass, especially the calligraphy and the book, and the creation of the "Zhao body" book, together with Ouyang Qing, Yan Zhenqing, and Liu Gongquan, known as the "Four Great Masters of The Book of Letters".

His wife, Guan Sheng, was a famous female calligrapher, painter, and poetry creator in the Yuan Dynasty, who had a deep affection for Zhao Mengfu and his wife, inherited the art of calligraphy and painting, and cultivated future generations. Zhao Yong, Zhao Lin, and Zhao Yan were crowned with names for a while. Wang Meng has another wife, who has been hearing about it since he was a child and is uniquely blessed.

His eldest daughter, Zhao Youyao, is also a master of calligraphy, so why is she a master of calligraphy and not a calligrapher? Because in history, Zhao Youyao's calligraphy is not famous, there are few records of it, and there is only one inkblot she left behind, although we cannot determine that she is a calligrapher, but it is beyond doubt that she is a master of calligraphy.
Zhao Youhao's only surviving handwriting, "Ruler with the Xianfu Official". 28.3 cm in length and 61 .8cm in width, it is now preserved in the Princeton University Art Museum in the United States.
From the content, this post is a letter written to her husband after the death of Zhao Youyao's mother, Guan Sheng, when Zhao Youyao was dealing with the aftermath at her mother's house, the content is extremely cumbersome, and it is a daily family affair.
Because it is a family letter, Zhao Youhao's writing is extremely natural, and although the fonts in the text are different in size, they do not violate it.
The style of writing is obviously taken from Zhao Mengfu, Youxin Junyi, the pen is vigorous, the ink is thick, the dots and twists are like Zhao Fa, and the knot body is beautiful and flowing, and it is elegant and unworldly. Its calligraphic font is multi-flat, and it is flexible and reprocessed according to the needs of the font pattern, which is full of changes and beautiful. I have to say that this is indeed a precious masterpiece!
