What is the low-temperature endurance of new energy vehicles?
Recently, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Consumer Association released the results of the comparative test of the low-temperature driving range of electric vehicles.
The test results show that the 10 sample cars participating in this comparative test all have different degrees of "power failure" problems in the low temperature environment, and the measured value of the low temperature mileage is "discounted" compared with the declared value of the normal temperature mileage.
The samples of this comparative test are all sampled by vehicle companies, with a total of 10 prototypes and 10 models, involving brands such as ARCFOX, BYD, Geometry, Sihao, Xiaopeng, Roewe, Weilai, Changan, etc.
After the comparative test fully charged the vehicle at 20 °C to 30 °C at room temperature, it was left to stand at an ambient temperature of -10 °C (error ± 2 °C) for 12 hours, and in accordance with the relevant requirements of GB/T 18386-2017 "Electric Vehicle Energy Consumption Rate and Driving Range Test Method", the mileage test was carried out, and the vehicle turned on the warm air during the whole test.
According to the results of the low temperature environment mileage test, the sample of the Arcfox Alpha S electric vehicle (model BJ7001AUA3-BEV) with a declared mileage of "708 kilometers" at room temperature has a measured value of 509 kilometers in the low temperature environment, and the driving mileage is reduced by about 30%.
The BYDHan EV electric vehicle sample (model BYD7009BEV1) with a declared range of "605 kilometers" at room temperature has a measured value of "401 kilometers" at low temperature, and the driving mileage is reduced by more than 30%.
The sample of Changan Yidong electric vehicle (model SC7003ADABEV) with a declared driving range of "425 kilometers" at room temperature, in the low temperature environment, the measured value of the low temperature driving range is 259 kilometers, and the driving range is reduced by nearly 40%.
