In terms of power, the new Explorer is expected to continue to be equipped with the current 2.3T four-cylinder turbocharged engine. For reference, the current Explorer has a maximum power of 203 kW (276 hp) and a maximum torque of 425 Nm, matching a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The new Explorer is expected to release its official map on March 18 and will be officially launched at the Beijing Auto Show in April, at which Changan Ford will also launch two special edition models, "30th Anniversary Edition" and "Spartan Warrior Edition". According to previous information, the new car will be officially launched in May.
