In the first quarter, Robert Williams scored with a layup, Curry hit a three-pointer, Horford scored on a layup in color, and Looney scored. Smart hit a three-pointer, Clay scored five straight points and Tatum grabbed a counter-attack. Smart broke through on the break, Brown hit both free throws, and then he broke through to score a layup. Smart's three-point shot extended the Celtics advantage to more than 10 points. Cuminga dunked, Moody hit a three-pointer in the open, Poole scored on a jumper, Tatum scored, and the first quarter ended, and the Celtics led the Warriors 23-17.
In the second quarter, Cumminga hit one of two free throws, Clay hit another jumper, Tess played 2+1 from the basket, and Grant Williams dunked. Brown hit two free throws, Porter hit a three-pointer, and then he scored 2+1 to score six straight points. Green hit both free throws, Smart's action was awarded a first-degree malicious foul, and Clay and Horford made consecutive free throws. Clay scored with a jumper and Curry returned to the dressing room. Smart hit the board to score, Brown's three-point shot, and Clay's jumper to score. Green took a technical foul and Tatum hit all three free throws. Porter burst in to throw a score that ended the first half with the Celtics 48-32 Warriors.
In the third quarter, Smart scored on a jumper, Looney hit the board successfully, and Robert Williams hooked up to score. Clay counter-attacked, Tatum hit a three-pointer and Poole also played color. Smart and Looney scored against each other, Smart and Clay hit three-pointers, Jaylen Brown scored 2+1 and Tatum extended the advantage. Poole shot in from the outside, Looney scored 2+1 and Grant Williams hit a three-pointer. After Looney made a layup, Tatum hit another three-pointer and Poole scored four straight points. Robert Williams dunked, Poole and Witherspoon chased points in succession, Anderson scored on a layup, Damien Lee hit two free throws, and Smart made a layup to stop the bleeding. Poole hit a three-pointer, 19 points in a single quarter, and the third quarter ended, and the Celtics made it 79-69 to the Warriors.
In the fourth quarter, Tatum threw a shot, Pu Richard scored on a jumper, and Cuminga hit both free throws. Clay dunked, Poole hit one of two free throws, Pregart hit a three-pointer, and Poole scored on a layup. Pu richard hit a three-pointer, Tatum hit two free throws, Jaylen Brown dunked, Horford threw in, Poole hit a three-pointer, and Jaylen Brown also used color. Poole hit both free throws, and the Celtics kept the lead and won.
