Its publication of the same name, 50 AbsoluteLy Beautiful: Royal Song, was also recently named the "Most Beautiful Book" of 2021 by the Shanghai Press and Publication Bureau. In order to meet the needs of more audiences, the "50 Absolute Beauty - Royal Song" Five Famous Kiln Treasures Exhibition will be postponed to April 5, 2022.
"50 Absolute Beauty - Royal Song" leads the audience to delve into the most brilliant page of Chinese civilization and fully feel the beauty of the peak of Chinese porcelain. The exhibition selects 50 rare treasures fired by Ru, Guan, Ge, Ding, Jun and Zhanggongxiang kilns, and gathers a large number of "five famous kilns" at one time. "This is the first exhibition to focus on the five famous kilns in recent years. It's a rare sight to behold. Yu Chenlong, research librarian at the National Museum of China, said.
Different from the traditional ancient art exhibition, "50 Absolute Beauty - Royal Song" uses contemporary curatorial concepts to refine the core of contemporary value such as "Gewu Zhizhi" contained in Chinese porcelain art, combined with contemporary context and artistic deconstruction techniques, in order to resonate with the current audience's spiritual world.
The exhibition's publication of the same name, "50 Absolute Beauty: Royal Song", was recently awarded the "Most Beautiful Book" in 2021 by the Shanghai Municipal Bureau of Press and Publications. The annual book design selection activity "The Most Beautiful Book" was founded in 2003; in the 2021 annual selection, the expert jury composed of senior book designers and publishers strictly evaluated more than 300 works selected and sent by 90 publishing units in more than 20 provinces, municipalities and autonomous regions across the country, and finally produced 25 award-winning works. 50 Absolute Beauty: The Royal Song Interprets the Aesthetics of Chinese Song Porcelain from a Thousand Years Ago in a Contemporary Design Context, designed by Li Jie and published by Phoenix Publishing House. Through exquisite contemporary art photography, beautiful poetry calligraphy, and professional interpretation of academic texts, the publication fully demonstrates the charm of the "five famous kilns" porcelain of the Song Dynasty across time and space.
In 2022, based on the ancient Chinese traditional art and the theme of "Jinling", Deji Art Museum will carry out research and exhibitions on calligraphy and painting, Ming-style furniture, ceramics and other categories.
