On March 9, local time, Ukraine accused Russia of bombing a women's and children's hospital in Marigopl on Wednesday. Located in the Sea of Azov and with a population of 430,000, Mariupol has been besieged by Russian troops for a week.
The Associated Press reported that after several explosions in the hospital building, all the windows were shattered, and the ground 1.6 kilometers away was shaking. Ukrainian officials claimed at least 17 people were injured in the blast.
