Technology is only the "ticket" to participate in the competition, and the quality of technology is the key factor in whether it can win. So, in addition to the mature Toyota THS brought by GAC, who is better than BYD DM-i, Great Wall DHT, Chery Kunpeng DHT, Geely Zhiqing Thor Hi-X and Changan iDD?

Realistically speaking, the hybrid power that Chinese brands concentrate on is the result of "borrowing" the logic of Japanese hybrid power.

The biggest difference from parallel hybrid is that the hybrid technology route realized by Chinese brands now has an exclusive hybrid transmission. Although this hybrid gearbox has the title of a gearbox, it is more of a differential, without traditional gearing, but through the differential principle, the two sets of power output of the engine and the motor are coupled into a power output like "kneading dough", corresponding to a separate drive shaft, and then form a hybrid architecture of the hybrid.

Of course, not all of China's brand hybrid technology is a relatively advanced "hybrid architecture", and Changan iDD is the P2 parallel architecture of "single motor". The biggest drawback of the P2 parallel architecture is that it is impossible to achieve the maximum efficiency of the engine and electric motor.

This principle is somewhat similar to the sliding clutch of the motorcycle, through which the output of the engine and the electric motor is coupled through the sliding membrane of the clutch. The difference is that these sets of hybrid systems are slightly different in the corresponding deceleration mechanism, and the BYD DM-i super hybrid system only has one level of deceleration, so in this process, the speed regulation dimension of the motor will be much larger. The Great Wall DHT uses a two-speed reducer, that is, a two-speed gearbox, so that the power after the coupling of the engine and the motor will also change the speed ratio of the first-stage transmission, and the speed regulation pressure of the motor is smaller, and the power performance of the vehicle can also be better under the premise of consistent engine output.

Chery Kunpeng DHT is also in the third gear. So talking about this will find that the hybrid system of the Chinese brand has used the gearbox to stir up and go out of the circle - too internally coiled - has risen from low fuel consumption to the height of both energy saving and performance.

Of course, under the premise of technology, the next step of competition will involve "cost control", that is, the same technology and products, whose price will be lower, who can occupy an absolutely dominant position in market competition. Technology and cost, one can not be less.
