Introduction

The Sheba site is an ancient site in the upper reaches of the Zuo River that is dominated by the accumulation of shell mounds in the early and middle Neolithic periods, as well as non-shell mounds and Shang zhou tombs. The site is stacked in three phases.

Among them, the first stage is the accumulation of shell mounds, the mode of life is mainly fishing and hunting, and the excavated relics are relatively rare, only two kinds of stone tools and bone tools are seen, and a large number of animal bones are also seen. Stone tools include choppers, scrapers and axes, hammers and grinding stone tools, bone tools only see bone needles, no pottery and shell mound sites are more common tombs, dating from about 8,000 years ago.

The second stage is non-shell mound accumulation, and the stone tool characteristics are not much different from the first stage, but the mode of life and production has changed from fishing and hunting to fishing and hunting collection. The excavated relics are also relatively rich, in addition to a large number of stone tools, but also contain a large number of animal bones, but pottery is still missing. Stone tools mainly include choppers, scrapers, pickaxes, stone cores, stone chips and other pure stone tools and a large number of axes, hammers, chisels and other types of grinding stone tools such as first blank and then grinding, with stone chips simple trimming made of choppers, scrapers, pickaxes A type of stone tools are the most distinctive, the age is roughly 8000 ~ 7000 years ago.

The third period is the Shang and Zhou Period, only one tomb was found, and the chronology and cultural outlook are far from the first and second periods.
