Mercedes-Benz's new generation GLC exposure, you have not yet bought the C-class you are waiting for right

Foreign media in Germany Stuttgart captured the overhauled Mercedes-Benz GLC camouflage model, this time further exposing the side details. It is expected that the new car will have a more minimalist appearance and introduce many new technologies in line with the C-Class, and is expected to be officially unveiled this year.

The new generation of GLC debuted in 2020 in the form of a camouflage car, and the prototype car faded its camouflage in 2021, allowing foreign media to see the exterior design and spy on the interior of the carriage. While Mercedes-Benz continues to develop new cars, according to further spy photos, the time of official exposure is getting closer and closer.

The new GLC's body contours look cleaner than before, and it eliminates the obvious side folds of the current model and reinforces the rear shoulder lines above the rear fenders. The door handles are lower, the mirrors are mounted on the doors, and the area of the anti-scratch material on the wheel arches and the lower edge of the car side is smaller.

Although the front of the car cannot be seen in the new photos, it is clear from the prototype camouflaged in the past that the GLC will use more stylish LED headlights and a water tank guard design similar to the current model, and provide traditional fuel power. It can be expected that the overhauled GLC will increase in body size and expand the interior space to be more distinct from the GLB series. Instruments and center controls are primarily shared with the C-Class based on the same platform, including a 12.3-inch digital instrument panel and an 11.9-inch infotainment screen, with an MBUX infotainment system.

At the same time, the powertrain is also expected to be shared with the C-Class, which includes 4-cylinder petrol, diesel and Plug-in Hybrid models. The performance-focused Mercedes-AMG GLC 63 is also expected to abandon the 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine in favor of a more efficient Plug-in Hybrid system, which is expected to deliver a combined output of more than 644 horsepower.

Foreign media pointed out that the launch of the overhaul GLC may be held in September or October, while the AMG performance version of the model will be launched later. The current GLC was introduced in 2015 and underwent a minor overhaul in 2019.
