IT Home News on March 1, according to the whistleblower Greymon5 news, AMD's first consumer-grade 3D V-Cache processor R7 5800X3D is now shipped and is expected to be available at the end of this month.
IT Home has reported that at this year's CES, AMD released the first AMD Ryzen™ processor with 3D V-Cache technology - Ryzen™ 7 5800X3D, and officially announced that this processor will be available later in the spring of 2022.
The parameters for the R7 5800X3D have been published on the AMD website:
R7 5800X3D still uses 7nm process, 8 cores 16 threads, 3.4-4.5GHz, L3 cache reached 96MB, the default power consumption is 105W.
For comparison, the R7 5800X without 3D V-Cache is 8-core, 16 threads, 3.8-4.7GHz, L3 cache 32MB, and the default power consumption is 105W.
According to AMD, the Ryzen™ 7 5800X3D processor with 3D V-Cahce technology is up to 36% better at gaming performance than the 12-core Ryzen™ 9 5900X.
