Honda announced that it will launch the new road sports model HAWK 11 for the first time at the 38th Osaka Motorcycle Show (March 19-21) in 2022, which coincides with previous predictions from the Japanese motorcycle media. And Honda also released a video of the new car trailer, but only a simple picture (below).
We can see from this trailer that it is very similar to the rendering renderings announced by the Japanese media before. In addition to the large area of "pig hood" in the trailer, there are Honda New Sports Cafe style iconic circular single head lights, as well as iconic LED turn signals.
At present, we only know that this car is the design style of "coffee sports", although the specifications, displacement, price, etc. have not been announced, but from the name of the car, it can be confirmed that it is about 1100cc displacement. According to previous speculation, it may be a 1082cc side-by-side twin-cylinder engine, which is on the same platform as the Honda Africa Twin. Honda in recent years because of the relationship between emissions, so that the "non-double" platform derived from the car gradually become the mainstream, such as REBEL 1100, NT1100, more news pointed out that HAWK 1100, is to replace CB1100.
Honda's official announcement said, "Developing a concept based on a large motorcycle that provides customers with new value and enriching motorcycle life, primarily for experienced veteran riders." Unlike the Neo Sports Cafe style that is now popular in Honda's CB series of street cars, the HAWK 1100 in the expected picture adopts the design language of Cafe Racer, especially the bullet-shaped hood, which makes this car full of retro taste.
